While this is certainly an impressive find for the archaeologists
Uh.

Archaiologia plus ology - that is, ancient studies.

Archaeologist study human remains archaeologists study human remains archaeologists study human remains archaeologists study human remains ARCHAEOLOGISTS STUDY HUMAN REMAINS.

God dammit. Can't even get one scientific article right, can ya, escapist?

Jurassic Park was only partially right: they didn't have a complex larynx and voicebox, that bone is actually a built-in flute! Herbivores lived in eternal dread of the hunting tune, which we perversely teach to our elementary schoolers as "Hot Cross Buns"

I'm more curious about the bone under it's tail. It looks something like ((_)===== which, you know, is ASCII for "OMG WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DAY!".

But! Can we clone them yet?
Chances are we can never clone a dinosaur as the DNA of them we do find are so fragmented. BUUUUUuuuuuUUUUUT dont be disheartened as scientists are currently working on coverting chicken embryo's to a more dinosaur like state, tails, scales, teeth, the complete package... I mean they wont really BE dinosaurs but they might look and act like them... maybe.

Still this find is nuts, 98% is ridiculous and from the early Cretacious no less. It could be a new species as thats the time teropods started to really show up, as far as I know anyways. I havnt been up to date with the recent discoveries lately.

That little bone under it's chin may be where it's tongue was attached, we have one too around our larynx.

But seriously, it could just be a collapsed portion of the lower jawbone?
This was one of my first thoughts too... but then it raises the question as to why that is the only displaced bone and all the other are perfectly in their place...

Also I would be surprised if it were it's dinner, because only having 1 bone seems weird.
It doesn't seem like it was eaten either (seeing as all the bones are intact) so it seems it died a slower death, which would bring up the question of why it had food with it before it died.

The bone beneath his jaw is called the Hyoid bone...
I don't think the Hyoid bone is the right explanation either seeing as it would be horse shoe shaped (or at least bent) and again the question would arise as to why it's so far from it's point of origin when everything else is where it should be.

But I don't have a better explanation yet either :(
Hope we find out soon :)

Three minutes later, creationists rally to deny its existence.
dude, creationist LOVE dinosaurs, why do you think they want to think we live along with them? Because it's AWESOME!!!!
Then that just means all the toys we enjoy playing with as children that have cavemen battling it out on the backs of dinos was a creationist brainwashing attempt?

Maybe its similar to the Hyoid bone in humans.

and maybe this is just one of those lucky ones. Chalk it up more to free accident of nature then the norm.

You know, it pains me to process the fact that we'll probably never be able to picture over 90% of the creatures that ever existed on our planet...
It gets worse if you study environmental geology, and go into further depth of how humanity is fucking the planet :(
I refute this claim, sir! The amount of time humans have lived on this planet is a million times shorter than the time it has existed. And there's no evidence of global warming. Are you really that smug to think that in the tiny time humans have existed, we fuck up the entire planet which has stood up to thousands of disasters much stronger than us?
Oh this argument again.
I'll just pretend you are trolling so I don't have to waste the time showing you that humans are fucking the planet.
Maybe not to the same degree that you think I mean, but it is happening.

now i'm just depressed because we'll probably never even picture about 75% or most likely even less. and if you believe there's other life out there in the universe, that just makes it all the more depressing. thanks a lot.

that's all i have to say about that subject. we are fucking up the planet, don't get me wrong, but by the end of it all, nature will survive and new life will come after our self destruction. yes, we shouldn't be harming the environment that is of now and making things harder for us and the other creatures of nature that exist now, but nature will change. we will change it to where a multitude of animals now won't be able to survive, but other life forms will adapt and thrive, so don't think the end of us is the end of the world. it's simply the start of something new. we aren't killing the planet or nature, we are simply changing it, for better or worse, but it will survive, and so will other creatures.
