Haha, when I first read the thread title I thought it said "Screw Porn", and now I'm thuroughly disappointed...

But yeah, I only went to a few high school dances during my entire time going to school. And I only went to senior prom because I was nominated for royalty. I would have rather just got wasted or something.

The slipe and slide/water gun fight sounds like fun. Alternatively, you could play paint ball... I played it and it was pretty fun.

we came to the conclusion that having sex with aching and painful body parts is not very fun.

Believe me, it isn't.

I'd recomend Airsoft over Paintball, but it's alot more tactical and realistic, and may not be very fun if you are just looking for something amusing to do.

LARP gear. $900 worth of LARP gear. I have NO idea what to do with it, maybe wear it to the after prom party, maybe hide it in your closet ashamed of such a purchase.

If there are any particularly epic gigs you can think of going to around that time, go to it. Spend all the money on it. This tends to work best with metal gigs as far as I can tell. The idea of rock or rap fans dressing as vikings and trying to abort Juno is difficult to imagine (I swear to god that that makes sense in context).

i remember all in all i spent about £150 to go to my prom (suit, limo, drinks, ticket) and it was the most boring night of my life!

i'd have much preferred to just spend the money on a a ton of beer and food and have a barbecue or something. (since it was july)

Unless you don't like to dance nor feel like making a fool of yourself before people you all know but not like (and they don't really like you back) as was the case with my prom, and I indeed did not have a good time at all. It was a wasted evening, even though I got the opportunity to dress up in a tuxedo. But it didn't cost me a truckload of money, so meeh.

I do second your lasertag idea or, even better, paintball.

*shrug* I happen to enjoy dancing, and even a rudimentary sense of rhythm and movement will pretty much guarantee that unless you accidentally step on the prom queen's hem and pull the iconic "forced flash-by-proxy," you won't make a fool of yourself - which wouldn't be the worst thing in the world, anyway, considering that high school's nearly over at that point, and you're within weeks of never seeing most of them ever again. Who cares if they like you or not (or vice versa)?

Just out of curiosity, why don't people like to dance?
