Scumbag Steals Game Consoles From Kids With Cancer

Most of the worlds cancer kids dont have anything similar even to begin with and im sure they dont suffer any more or less cause of that. There is like 1000 more important things cancer patients need - good medications, good doctors, healthy food, people who love and care about them and so on and on.

Whining about some missing game consols is beyond me. Its just ... unbeliveble. You guys are total morons or you really dont have ability to see bigger picture.

Your opinion is purely based on your iill-concieved perception of human suffering and especially how children deal with illness, as you have never worked in a hospital or interacted with seriously ill kids.

Yeah, sorry, probably should have phrased that as a question or something, but I just did not believe it necessary.

I am going to give this guy the benefit of a doubt and assume that he stole those consoles not knowing they were for kids with cancer. It isn't mentioned in the article that the thief had any clue that the consoles were used by young cancer patients. If he did know, he deserves every bad thing done to him stated in this thread, but I think everyone is jumping the gun in assuming this man knowingly and willingly stole from cancer kids. He probably didn't think that far ahead like most criminals.

I just like to look at all sides of a situation and try construct arguments without insulting the opposition. It's a possibility that this guy stole to pay off his loan shark/buy crack ect, but also, there's the other side of the coin. There are altruistic reasons for stealing. I never said he shouldn't be punished, I just think all the cruel and unusual punishments people are suggesting seem a little out there.

Not to get into a philosophical debate, but at marketing school, we were given a problem to discuss: a poor man breaks into a pharmacy to steal medication for his sick wife. The robbery goes wrong, and he ends up shooting a pharmacist. Should he go to jail? There is no right answer (yes, it's one of "those" exercises), but the bottom line is, the guy is still dead.

The guy is a stain on the human race. Extenuating circumstances are a matter for the judge to decide on, when applying the penalty. But the crime itself is despicable.

I don't have much money since I'm a student. I currently don't have a VISA card. I don't have a job or any solid source of income. I got a lot of stuff I need for my apartment. Still I am going to donate when I get my VISA card though I can't afford much.

You know, there should be two levels of hell this guy is sent to:

1. Stealing from sick kids.
2. Perpetuating negative racial stereotypes.

My thoughts summed up too. He's a real asshole for making us see the negative stereotype on top of doing something this horrible. Next he'll probably rob a blind man or break into a deaf man's house. This just sickens me and I that takes a lot.
