Bought and played the game. To no surpise, I liked the game. The writing is just right. The scenarios are interesting. "If" your curious, let me know and I'll fill you in. :p

But the puzzles are far from easy in the beginning. You can get "used" to them, but you will rarely if ever get a perfect streak.

I will say this, the game makes the men look more like a sexual object than women, so if some say that women are "objectified" in the game, they never played it. -_-
It's like those parents blaming Mass Effect 3 for the shooting.
Me me me I'm interested tell me all the games dirty secrets I want to know if it compares to the Japanese hentai games I have played those games are really out there so this game going to have to work really hard (no pun intended) if they want to compete.
I would say it's more Westernized for sure. Dialogue fits more in line with an adult Western Erotic Novel, than a teenager fantasy. Good lines are used to express the moments of sexual interaction than using the basic words of ****y and C*** or P***s. You can definitely tell it was written by a woman than a man. The endings are believable to each woman, they are not all going to fall head over heels for the protagonist...will not say too much as to spoil everything. I LOVE the drawings. Since they mimic paintings over something done on scratch paper.
5 variety of card games, I can't really say what they are..but not easy and fun to play for sure. Game details how they are used and I can see why.

On the fence
-No voice-overs of any kind. You use your imagination for that and I personally don't mind. Dub voice-overs tend to be terrible in most erotic games.
-No animation. All image work, but they are really good images.
-Music. Though the Soundtrack seems to be repeated, its still really good erotic music that puts ya in the mood.
-I would say that the information you get on each woman is unique, but I would of liked to know more.

What I would say are weak points are
-Feels short. I was not expecting an extremely long game and going after one woman can lead 30 min to 2 hours for completion...sometimes based on luck and skill. I'd say half a day at worst to complete all 4, one at a time. Even longer if you try to max out each one as far as possible.
-No extras. A photo/image gallery would of been nice but none.

Edit: No, the women are not objectified, not even close. They can be seen as sexy, but what the game does is no different than if you, as an individual, were invited to a personal getaway from a rich and beautiful woman. What she has and does there is because it's what she enjoys for herself, not for you...the man.

How is an erotic "dating" game a new thing?

I personally think the issue here should be how Steam is continuing Wal-Mart's tradition of deciding what their audience is allowed to purchase.

Don't remember them asking what *I* consider offensive, is what I'm saying.

As for the game itself, good for them that they made it to release. Now if someone were to make erotic games aimed at women (or LGBT sensibilities) we could shake off the discrimination issues and just happily enjoy the porn.

I find it odd that so many people are complaining about sexism for a game that is, lets be entirely honest, mostly porn. Do people have problems with porn in gneral? I know some feminists do, but still I thought the general majority of femminists were "sex-positive" feminists. At any rate I have actually been interested in various Japanese Visual novels but never had the will to actively seek one out. Most of my interest comes from seeing one or two animes based on eroges. I find the idea kind of interesting but also odd, and it is weird to see a western devloper, even a small one, taking the idea and running with it.

My partner--a woman and a feminist--bought the game and has played it some.

So far neither of us would describe it as sexist. The women are very much in charge in this game, and it's not--unlike traditional games of this sort--about 'winning' their affections. The little mini-games are rather curiously about coming to a common understanding mostly.

Flirtation is about giving as well as you get. They aren't passive, to be sure.

I'd say more, but the game is also tough as heck, and we've not actually seen any sex thus far because of it.
Oh my!

I was already interested in this game, just because Western games that actually deal with sex are rare.

I, however, was less than interested due to what seemed to be a predictable premise.

Your description, on the other hand, sounds rather interesting. I'm still not sure I feel like dropping 17 bucks on it, and come to think of it I'd likely need some sort of compatible device to play it on, but I'm glad that it exists (and maybe when I finally get something that plays this sort of app, I'll pick it up).

Games loaded with only male targets to shoot at is not sexist.

Games about seducing women is sexist.

"Testikill" achievement isn't sexist.

Games depicting women being presented as goals or prizes [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w3wO4IOJc9U], which is something people have been okay with for as long as we've existed anyway, is sexist.

Men in tight or skimpy outfits isn't sexist.

Women in tight or skimpy outfits is sexist.

I sense a pattern here.

#2 - This justifies Anita Sarkeesian's entire project.

Just sayin'.
I thought she was doing pretty good at being hypocritical, biased, and incorrect without anyone's help. Also, one thing, however a person looks at it, justifies all that? Really? It justifies sexist Legos and the unsubstantiated and even prejudicial claims she's presented as 'facts'?

I dunno 'bout that, hoss.

Hmmm... you could throw your money away on a game like this or, you know, spent it on a real date
I'd like to see the date that only costs 17 dollars.

I'm sorry, are we supposed to be outraged by this? It's just a little porn whose only exceptional characteristic is being refused to be featured on Steam. I can understand doing the first article on this but did it really deserve a follow-up?

Anyways, I'm glad that they made it, good for them. There are better porn games out there, though.

I'm a fan of D-Dub's Bonetown and Illusion's You Can't Escape the Heroine both for their decent, challenging gameplay and humor. Bonetown in particular is refreshingly liberated. Even Postal 3 didn't have real drug use in it. You Can't Escape the Heroine on the other hand is amusingly whimsical about its dark subject matter. Most importantly they're both pretty damn sexy if I do say so myself.

Maybe the Escapist should do an article on decent porn games. It would certainly get a load of hits both from happy perverts like me and the PC crowd.

My partner is planning to write a review on her blog (about feminism, gaming and other media) over here shortly: http://www.jmkeep.com/blog/

So maybe that'll help your decision when the time comes where you're thinking of getting it! : )

So, question: How "Lemony" is this game compared to others? Is it heterosexual sex for the sole purpose of procreation in missionary position, or does it ever get more, "exotic"?

i hope this is the beginning of a tsunami of porn games. seeing as the majority of gamers are adults, games should cater to a variety of adult proclivities right? not just the violent ones

P.S. im very dissapointed that no one has tried to mad lib this sentence yet.
"She's unashamedly ***** ********** and over her *********"

also for anyone who thinks the whole tentacle thing is exclusive to animated porn, hasn't been fortunate enough to stumble upon some of the more discomforting live action tid bits. the more you know!

This game seems like a really bad attempt at creating an erotic visual novel that widely appeals to the Western audience.
It'll be interesting to see how this goes over.
I don't think that the creators even HEARD of the VN genre, these screenshots appear to be much more game-y than that. It seems more like they tried to reinvent the wheel by inventing an erotic game genre from scratch.
That sounds like a horrendous plan that can only from bad to worse. It should be quite entertaining to see how this game pans out in that regard.

It's not really uncommon to see legit AO titles not listed on the ESRB web site. Example: X-Change is listed, however, all subsequent titles are not. They all have official AO ESRB titles, but it seems a number of years back the AO titles stopped being listed consistently.

And this game has got Master of Adventure Games, and whodathunkit, woman, Roberta Williams on the cover. (on the far right, if you're curious)

I highly doubt she considered sex games sexist if she appeared in one herself.
Wow, that's really Roberta Williams? I had no idea!

Ok #1 - So THIS can get made, but an MMO about the Warhammer 40K universe cant?
Dude, this game probably cost less than $100,000 to make. A 40K MMO would be close to 1000X that. Seriously, AAA MMO's cost about 100M to make.
LOL...I'm just making fun of it. That, and I REAAALLLYY wanted that 40k MMO. :)

I don't wanna live on this planet anymore.
okay, we can make a cheap and fast dating game in the warhammer universe with some quickly drawn and animated images.

trouble is, that all your endevours will end in a suspicion of having been seduced by slaanesh and subsequently will lead to you and everyone on the planet to get incinerated.

...you are my hero. The Emperor bless you. :D

But we already have Mass Effect. This game is totally ripping BioWare off.

Okay, now I can see why a porn game would be fun. But... This game is over priced and it makes you play card games for aeries of still pictures with laughable dialogue? Seriously, I am sure there are better hentai comics (really good WoW ones actually) on the internet FOR FREE! As well as free videos in which you skip straight to the sex. Maybe I just don't have the patience.

So, yeah, the problem isn't that this game is offensive, no, it's that it has no right to exist...

If controversy is a game's main source of recognition, I can't see it living too long...after all once it stops being "cool" and "rebellious" in the eyes of the gamers, they will see that there's not much more going for it.

I'm not going to judge this particular game, mind, but "caused an outrage" isn't reason enough for me to buy any game. It has to have some more substance than that. So, apart from it being a riot, what else does it have going for it that I couldn't get elsewhere?

I know, I know, I'm an advertiser's worst nightmare.
