I ordered that game a few days ago, thinking that the issues will eventually get patched. Ugh

If this is how Sega treats their community, I won't be buying any of their games.

All I have to say is:

The Orange Box.

At least Sega have the balls to admit they won't be patching their games.

Actually, didn't Gabe Newell say that the Valve-updates will be intergrated with the PlayStation soon? Meaning that they were able to patch the PS3 games and the PC games at the same time

Hey, Sega. It's nice to see PC gamers being treated better than console gamers. But I don't think just treating them like shit is the right way to do it.

No amount of patching would make that game any good.
It wouldn't take much to get the MP to be serviceable, but the single player will always be pretty crap.

It was a mediocre game through and through and was probably by biggest disappointment of the year. I used to play a lot of AVP2, and seeing this game come out so bleh was just sad.

(Haven't played this game, have no interest in playing this game, and don't know what bug they're supposed to fix.)

Why didn't they just ship a finished game in the first place? If the game has bugs and problems, they should have caught in testing. And if not, they have a responsibility to the customers to fix it. You when you sell a game, you're implicitly promising the consumer that your product works and will do everything it advertises properly. If you don't fix major bugs, then you're a liar and a fraud.

Also, why don't game developers WANT their games to be as good as they possibly can be? Whatever happened to love of craftsmanship?

I'm glad I sold this now. But jesus, it was such a bad game that I traded it in after 3 months and only got a £6 return on it. Assassin's creed 2 fetched £10 after 7 months, dammit.

Yep using Steamworks but I doubt it will effect anything released before Portal 2 since the PS3 orange box was done by EA

I have to say if I actually bought any Sega games I would probably be hesitant about the next. If their policy is to sell something broken then say "Thanks for the money prickface" then ditch you. Classy, I'm sure that will make people come clamoring for their next game. Did these people even go to business school?

So they're leaving people like me that bought it to suffer with these issues? Feels kinda like being one of the poor bastards with an alien growing in them. That's the last sega product I buy.
