Sega being open to new ideas compared to Square...

That's like saying Hitler was a nicer guy than Stalin.

In the end, they're both douchebags who've sold out.

I think we should just stop RPGs for now. Let the genre get some rest.

No they aren't. At least exp grinding can involve not doing the same thing over and over.
This is a troll, right? You're not really this deluded are you?

Given that you described RPGs in general as "nothing but XP grinding and min-maxing," I was actually under the assumption that you were a troll. There are few things in life more satisfying than confusing a troll.

But since you ask, no. There is absolutely no point to grinding if the only result is the player getting bored out of their mind. If you really must grind (which, unless you've been deliberately avoiding fights, should be far from necessary), that's why you either pick a place where you can get a lot of experience quickly, or you do sidequests or exploration for a while. The only time I recall ever actually needing to grind levels was for an optional one-on-one battle involving the weakest member of my party and an extremely tough opponent (and that fight is more luck-based than anything).

Also, I think you got your stereotypes mixed up. Min-maxing is supposed to be a WRPG and tabletop gaming problem.

I don't really see why people keep claiming Square is milking the final fantasy series that much.

Because most of the Final fantasy usually have an entire new story, new settings and characters/weapons/cities and so on. Kupos and Chocobos are something the FF games are not gonna let go. I don't blame them for that.

Some are linked together and FF7 is like the only FF game where they made more spinoff than most other FF games. But people liked FF7 so much so that's not a bad thing for those fans.

From FF7 and beyond they changed the gameplay and game mechanics quite a bit. Like a new leveling system, new way to get skills and so on. Final Fantasy 2 or 3 had a different way to level up too.

In most FF games grinding is not an issue. Most of the time you can get through the game without having to grind up your levels at all. FF7 comes to mind first hand. If you want to beat the rest you'll have to grind some more.

So FF games are pretty original. At least I don't remember other games trying to change it as much as they did.

How has the title not been clear to people since they started with Final Fantasy X2 or whatever.
And since they always claim it's the FINAL fantasy except that IT NEVER IS. How can people be this blind? Honestly, how?
