Selective Forum Use

It's come to my attention that in my short time here I rarely venture from the Off-Topic forum and when I do it's mostly to the RP one.

So I ask myself (and now you) am I alone?

So which are your prefered forums, and Why?

I tend to hang around in most all forums here (save the RP forums), but on other sites I gravitated towards forums that were more about game and serious discussion forums.

Off-topic has almost always been my turf. Tsurugi, who I know in real life, rarely ventures from the RP section. So yeah, people do it.

Off-topic for me by far, I find the topics and threads better and more thought provoking than the other forums. I don't think I've ever posted in the RP forums as of yet due to the fact I don't really understand them.

Definitely an off topic whore. I do poke around the Forum Games and ocassionally Gaming Discussion if something peaks my interest, but Off topic is fairly random and generalized so that most everyone can have a say on any given topic. Where as Gaming Discussion is a bit more closed to you if you haven't played the games being discussed.

I generally lurk about the Off-Topic and RP sections. Games are meant for playing, not discussing.

Off-topic and RP, occasionally I venture into the Gaming discussion, but it is occasional. Since I'm exclusively a PC gamer, all the console talk leaves me cold.

Everyone has their favorites and haunts. I generally post to the gaming discussion forums, off-topic every now and then. It reflects interests.

I browse the user reviews every now and then, even venture to warcry. And while I don't post there to often I regularly go through the news room and feature content forums to keep myself informed.

I don't much care for forum games so I am hardly ever to be found in the RP section.

Just not my bag of tea.

Basically, everything to do with it. Sorry for my lack of intelligence on the matter but I've never really ventured into it.

Oh, why. Of course. I do it cause the reason I like the Escapist is the community, and that shows through most in off-topic.

Death Magnetic: my first RP was here. The RP itself was a mess, but I did fine I think. Just check it out, you won't know till you try. Just like everything else.

I post mostly in the Forum Games/RP and Off-Topic sections. I go check for interesting threads in Gaming Discussion, The News Room and User Reviews once in a while though.

Also, I stick to Forum Games only in the Games/RP section. The role plays here confuse me. They all seem to be sequels of older ones, or they've already started and that makes it difficult to get involved.

I lurk almost exclusively in RP section.

Over time i migrated there and now dwell in its dank embrace... sometimes i venture into Off-Topic to dump some Ultra on a controversy thread i feel is particularly ripe.

And wait clenching my fingers for the next issue of the escapist to come out... man i love those articles.

That and De-Rez, man i love that stuff.

It seems to me that if your posting a thread in the off-topic forum asking people what forum they frequent ... You'll probably get a lot of off-topic-ers.

That being said, I like to think I split myself equally between off-topic and RP. Occasionally I'll venture to the User Reviews section. I don't really go to the games forum much just because it always seems to repeat itself (best video game gun! What character would you kill off? ect ect) and it's almost impossible to a get a real meaningful conversation going, particularly if you haven't played the games in question.

Oh, and the articles of course. Yahtzee lured me here but the articles chained me down and and started monolouging about their evil plans to take over the world ... It was really weird, trust me.

True, but I can't put in the other forums or it'll be inundated with "Wrong Forum" posts

Somtimes go into Gaming, never into RP and very rarly into User Reviews

I don't go on the forums Per Se.

I just use the HOT topics thing on the front page.
