I come in the OT too but usually it's full of filler threads so I just leave it... except for now apparently.

I think its that after a while here you've seen every gaming thread already.

Hence, you migrate down one, to the Off-Topic. After getting over the impulse to argue and not taking things seriously...

You end up in RP, where you can take 'not taking yourself seriously' to an art-form.

That is so true on so many levels.

My only regret with these forums is that since I don't/didn't spend to much time in the Off Topic and RP threads, I don't have these sortof "inside jokes" with people. Like PurpleRain and his orphans.

I basically just use the front page. I will venture into the actual forums section now and again, but I usually just see what's currently "featured". It's a nice variety of stuff, instead of dwelling in one type of discussion.

I certainly have the same habits and reasoning behind them. I can't tell you how boring a good 90% of Gaming Discussion is to me; I'd much rather be playing. I lurk on GD and post infrequently because if you're not here to sometimes talk about gaming then why are you here at all?

I linger about the RP thread more than anything, although I will post in off-topic if something catches my eye. I also post in the "Featured Content" if I think something needs to be said, usually something that comes off as condecending, although that's never my intention.

I usually avoid the Gaming Discussion forums altogether. There usually aren't posts I find to be interesting there.

Apologies if you've had to read one of my posts in the Feature Content section, especially the one about Jack Thompson.

The first thing I check each day is usually my posts from the previous day, because I want to see if anyone quoted me (so lonely).

Then it's usually off to User Reviews and The News Room, followed by Gaming Discussion and Off-Topic.

But it's mainly lurking. 3-4 posts a day usually.

I'm a "jack of all trades", although I'm generally seen wandering around the Off Topic and Gamer Reviews, I occasionaly wander into the News Room and User Reviews. Rarely RP, thought.

Join date is more important than post-count.

But you're not a Vet, you are a valued member, but a veteran is something you need time to become, or an ungodly post-count.

MGG is a veteran but not a valued member, so you're in a good spot.

I spend a lot of time lurking in the news room, catching up on my gaming news. I lurk a lot in the User Reviews as well. But I find myself not really looking at the gaming discussion much now, I don't know why; perhaps its because my heart lies with the off-topic. Though I do like me a good RP and I will join in the occasional Forum Game.

MGG is a veteran but not a valued member, so you're in a good spot.

I think MGG is less than just not a valued member. How many of his reviews have just turned into arguments? It has to be well over half.

I roam most boards here from time to time, however, I haven't checked out the rp board though. I'm already on two other forums for that, and I found those a lot more intuitive.
