Hrm... I got my start in the User Review section, basically making it my life goal to only have reviews, or pertinent responses to reviews, as posts. Then, on my first venture to Off-Topic, I tripped over a thread called 'I Bet he's Cockney.' I haven't been the same, since.
Frankly, though, I keep myself generally to Off-Topic, taking a rare venture into RP section. I would RP more, but both threads I made there ended in obscurity and lockdown, respectively. Seems like when I get an idea, it usually turns into an elitist-fest, or a slow-and-ignorable death (not too unlike my last three relationships).
Ultimately, I'm a bit happier here in Off-Topic. People recognize me, and that's usually more than I can ask for on some forums. Although, to be fair, I almost always feel a bit left out. If it weren't for the RPers who post here, I'd have no idea who the President was, or what the deal with PR and orphans is. Instead, I have a vague understanding, and the knowledge that I'll likely be held out of the loop for a while on that. No one's fault, just a little alienating.
Ah well, whatever, I've posted my, admittedly slightly emo, $0.02. Carry on.
