Yikes.... a nasty killer Canadian. How will I ever get to sleep now?
Then there was Karla and her husband, they raped and killed schoolgirls including Karla's own sister.

Then there's Clifford Olson, who raped, beat, and killed 11 people including a bunch of kids.

Or Leopold Dion, who raped 21 kids and murdered 4, including one woman he beat, raped, and stabbed, then left to die on the train tracks.

We don't mess around with our serial killers in Canada.

I've been very interested in the topic of serial killers mainly because I've always wanted to know what made these people want to do what they did. The most interesting to learn of for me was Ted Bundy. The secound most was that guy who made lamp shades out of human skin and belts out of womens naughty parts along with a lot of other housewares made of human parts like skull bowls, however I forgot his name. And I know technically he didn't actually kill many people but Charles Manson has a very disturbing back story, although I'm intrigued as to how he got those women to do that stuff, I mean it couldn't have just been the acid.

I'm going to go with John Wayne Gacy, Jr. One sick person, dressed up like a clown and all sorts of weird stuff.

Not to say who is the best serial killer ever,
but I have an interest in Jeffrey Dahmer.

I would say Charles Manson,
but he was a manipulator.

He had his followers brutally kill people.

Elizabeth Báthory.

Most prolific female murderer. Total unknown, but evidence points to between 80 and 600 victims.
That is just awesome. :]
the interesting thing was she would kill virgin's and then bathe in their blood in order to keep herself young

there's a photographer called Joshua Hoffine, who i met at the festival of fear in Toronto and he had just taken a picture influenced by her and it's freaking amazing, i wanted the big huge print he had on display cause it was awesome

his website is http://www.joshuahoffine.com

I'd probably say Harold Shipman: the most prolific confirmed serial killer in history with a proven 218 victims, possibly 250+. He targeted his patients, the majority of whom were elderly women and killed them with lethal injections of diamorphine.

Probably Tsutomu Miyazaki.

Not really because the grizzly ways he killed those girls, nor because of the killcount but because he's a prime example of how twisted a person can become from being picked on at school and no one doing anything to intervene.

Basically a manifestation of society's own apathy towards those suffering biting society in the ass...

Jack the Ripper

Speaking of serial killers, heres a sick joke that just cracks me up:

Q: Whats the difference between a 1967 Mustang and 10 recently murdered prostitutes?
A: I don't have a 1967 Mustang in my garage.

:O

lol

Not particularly brutal or sadistic, but in terms of sheer numbers, try looking up Harold Shipman: 218 at least.

The Russians have plenty of brutal serial killers. I think two killed over 50, and it was either one of those two or a third one with a large number of victims that also cannibalised his victims. Don't know their names though.

Albert Fish, hands down...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albert_fish

I would like to see more psych studies on him since he did cannibalize all his victims...

I've always wanted to know what drives these kinds of people to the lengths they go to.

I don't think you can have a favourite serial killer you know it's like this - Hi Mr. Jeffery Dahlmer sir it's an honor to be raped by you, I preffer being stabbed in the neck or shoveing a sword up my ass.Jeffery Dahlmer slowly backs away and does that for a week going to the store and home.It would be who you don't want to meet in a dark alley. My would be (I forgot his name) a guy who I watched on the discovery channel an english guy he was gay and murdered like 30 or 40 people without anyone knowing.
