IT Crowd. Only 24 episodes. However it ended because writer said he lost enjoyment while writing it so it is probably good idea it didn't continue.

Spectacular Spider-Man. Such great love drama and they cancelled it in most interesting moment.

Yeah, Megas XLR was really fun.

I love Red Dwarf, but I wouldn't mind it just being put to rest; I'm not sure I always like a conclusive ending when there's not really an overarching narrative.

I also love Spaced (to play by my own rules the thinnest of overarching narratives), but that ended fairly conclusively, y'just assume that things continued as normal.

'Kay so no one agreeing with me on Bored to Death... Y'know nobody all like "Yeah, I agree, Bored to Death was awesome. It had Ted Danson in it, yeah!"... Nope? Has nobody watched that on here? *sad face*

To add to the thread in a more on topic-y way; The Inbetweeners (the UK one because there is only one real version of The Inbetweeners) ended after just 3 short seasons, 18 episodes but at least the movie rapped it up nicely...

After I heard about the Rape of Inara plotline [http://prozacpark.dreamwidth.org/111215.html] which was planned for the second season, I'm actually relieved Firefly was cancelled.

I've been able to speak with Derrick Wyatt on several occasions and seen him speak at Botcon. There were most definately plans for season 4 and beyond...when Hasbro bought The Hub however CN pulled the plug on future seasons...
I did not know that. That makes me sad. That show was awesome =(

Huh, good to see that the entire thread isn't filled with wailing over Firefly. Only half of it is...

Yes, I liked the show. Still, all the bitching and moaning over "Bringing Back Firefly" and etc. has really disillusioned me to the prospect, much like the whole Mass Effect 3 ending controversy.

Gonna throw these in as well:

Twin Peaks
The Wire
Arrested Development
Deadwood
Carnival
My Name is Earl
Angel
The Tick (animated and live-action)
Freakazoid

Arrested Development and Lie To Me. Although luckily the former is coming back.
Lie to Me got cancelled?

Though yes, Arrested Development coming back is nice. Samurai Jack never really got a proper ending either, so that too.

Others would be The Critic, Invader Zim, and Freakazoid. DEAR LORD, FREAKAZOID.
Yeah, think it was probably about 10 episodes or so into the third season at then just stopped. According to Wikipedia, the season 3 finale (as the final episode turned out to be anyway) was shown January 31st 2011 and then officially cancelled May 10th 2011. Shame too, because it was one of the few shows I would make an effort to sit down and watch when it was on.

Lessee.. Firefly, MEGAS XLR, Samurai Jack, Symbonic Titan, The Spectacular Spider-man, Super Robot Monkey Team Hyper Force Go... yes, most of these are cartoons, why do you ask?
This so much(though I haven't watched Firefly) and to add Danny Phantom, Class of 3000, My Life as a Teenage Robot, Powerpuff Girls, Storm Hawks, Mucha Lucha, League of Super Evil, Xiaolin Showdown, Jackie Chan Adventures, Static Shock, Zoids, Jimmy Neutron, Invader Zim, El Tigre, Lilo and Stitch, American Dragon, Dave the Barbarian, etc. And probably other things people have said.

So basically anything from the 90s to the 2000s before everyone wanted to do live action shows and stuff.

Also for videogames Psychonauts I loved that game it was awesome, fun, and funny and it left itself open for a sequel with the ending though I have heard Psychonauts 2 might come and I really hope it does if it can match up to the first one.[/

Danny Phantom,Powerpuff Girls,Xiaolin Showdown, Jackie Chan Adventures and Static Shock all had series finales that wrapped the shows up well enough.
Alright for Jackie Chan, Static Shock, and Xiaolin they might have ended nicely I didn't really remember but I remember hearing that Powerpuff Girls and Danny Phantom could have had more seasons and an episode was in planning for the return of Dark Danny(http://dannyphantom.wikia.com/wiki/Dark_Danny though I'm not sure how reliable this is) EDIT: Checked wikipedia and it said Butch Hartman wanted to create more episodes but the show wasn't picked back up.

Either way it'd just be nice to see them on regular TV again.

Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes
Invader Zim
Megas XLR.

Also for Video Games:

Republic Commando
SW: Battlefront 3

(I probably sound like a broken record)

Special Unit 2.

Never heard of it? Well, it was a buddy cop show, not played for laughs, that featured humanity's organized police force against "Links", I.E., missing links in evolution. However, as it would turn out, all manners of mythological creatures and monsters are links.

So you get episodes of them interrogating a Gargoyle, which laughs off all their "Conventional attempts". These of course being a nail bat.

The main cast had great chemistry, and it was fun to see battling a dragon via police procedure.

FarScape. The sudden and violent cancellation of the 5th season after a huge 4th season cliff hanger was rage-inducing, and The Peacekeeper Wars was a poor substitute at best.

For me, it would have to be Avengers: EMH, Dresden files, Megas XLR, Firefly, and Stargate Universe.

Clone High and Undergrads come to mind.
These were the two shows I was going to say, I really wish we'd get a second season of each, but there's been so much time between them that I don't think it would work, unless they somehow played the long break into the new season. I remember reading somewhere of a second season concept where Nitz becomes a professional student who fears graduating and has been in college for 10 years, Gimpy has become a millionare due to something Facebook/ social network related, Cal becomes and porn star and Rocco is his fluffer.

Glad to see Arrested Development is making a comeback so I can't really list that one. It has been said countless times but Firefly is on my list. As for other, more unique ones:

Terriers
Greg the Bunny
Journeyman
Freaks & Geeks
Men of a Certain Age

Jericho, Awake, Alcatraz, and Terra Nova.

Awake had a really great concept going for it, and they were really paying off with it...and then they had to rush the finale. Which left viewers to still wonder! Alcatraz and Terra Nova both ended with either a cliffhanger or reveal, which sucks. And Jericho. Oh, Jericho, I'm glad they gave you half of a second season, but all the same I wish they could've done a full second season.

Megas XLR, Futurama (but it's back, TAKE THAT YOU FOX SCUMBAGS!!), Firefly. That's about it for the ones I cared about. Also just to add some color to this post I'll add pictures for fun.
