Reminds me of that sad kid on Youtube who was making Halo weapons out of cardboard and was showing them off like it was awesome.
O.T. Oi! I'm today's youth and I take offence at that! And by 'offence' I mean 'We totally suck, and I formally apologise.'.

I must say, that boy has a lot of creativity.
Things like this have always happened and not just in this current generation. To make an assumption about a whole generation based on one youtube video isn't the right thing to do either in my opinion.

btw. that crossbow is awesome

How is that disturbing? He's not hurting anyone.

Go back a couple of hundred years and he'd be in the army, killing people.

I think "todays youth" are alright.
He's not hurting anyone........in the video you mean....cus what hes doing with that stuff out of the video ...... we have no idea.

It is disturbing because this stuff wont be enough for him when he is 15 or 16 and he will be killing people....but not in an army, he will start with using homemade weapons on neighborhood animals, then he kills his parents with some homemade weapons, and then some school mates and then some police then...etc. Then he will have lots of practice carving shivs by the time we get him to prison.

Largely I believe the youth of today is more or less OK, but not this kid....no way.

Is it just me or is this video seriously disturbing? We have kids making weapons out of plastic clothes hangers and crayola markers !

Opinions on this? I think this is creepy, thank goodness I'm a kind person
Are you honestly stereotyping the whole of today's youth because of one kid that made those?

adults these days...

When I read the topic I thought, oh man some guy whining about kids not getting jobs and living off they're parents, instead I got a cool video and now I want to try and out craft this kid.

Really I'm more worried about kids dropping ballons filled with paint on my car off an overpass than them having fun tinkering.

What? That makes no sense. Going from making relatively harmless "weapons" because he can to killing people is a HUGE, and rediculous, leap. Hell, me and my brother used to make wooden swords and fight eachother. And I continued to do that with my friends for years.

There's nothing new here, my brother (back in the day) made all sorts of make shift weapons, and fights were a daily thing with him (no he never used the dangerous weapons in a fight, he wasn't that dumb).

Stupid is todays parents sheltering kids so much they 'break' when they get out into the real world and they get into drugs or heavy drinking/partying because of it.

Got bored about half way through. I don't think there's anything disturbing or creepy in that video. He just taped some pins onto sticks. Shooting rocks or marbles with slingshots would cause a lot more damage than most of his "weapons" and slingshots have been around for ages already. So even if there was something wrong with todays youth, this video is not a viable proof for it.

I think it's actually really amazing that he was able to make functioning weapons of out regular household objects. As long as he isnt hurting anyone, i think its fine. The only one that i guess could be disturbing is the last one he showed because it really could be seen as a regular object and some kid could go apeshit in school and really hurt someone with it.

Perfectly put with the first reply. Nice.

As for the weapons, well. He's flexing his creativity. This is good.

Go to a local middle school and count how many times you hear the word "Gay"

Then you see why.

I think youth today is both getting:
Even more Stupid
Forgetful
Ignoring the horrible grammar of that last bit, can you even list a source? Do you have any proof backing up what you are saying?

As for your claim that we are "forgetful", what exactly do you mean by this?

Are you in High School, out of High School? Middle School, maybe? Just out of curiosity.

I think this shows more creativeness than anything. How are we supposed to evolve as a race without advancements?
I agree, nothing wrong here. Also that blow dart thing was pretty awesome. When I was a kid we had gangs, real guns, and knives...so...yeah I think this shows more creativity then anything. Course by "we" I mean an over-exaggeration of my generations violence. Seriously though, its not that bad.

You think that's bad? A bunch of kids a town over from mine burnt down a memorial made for an old war veteran for shits and giggles. This kid isn't disturbed, he's fucking creative. If he applies that, he'll potentially do good in school and be successful.

If you're trying to show a good example of today's youth being bad, you're missing the mark by a long shot.

You should use this kid's bow and arrow next time. Fairly accurate.
