1). I toss and turn alot so most people do not find it easy to sleep near me, but if they do not care I don't care, being bi has an advantage of making all sexuality questions moot.
2). Already answered.
3). Why not.
4). If they are intelligent I do not care, other wise like a spider, I let them be and they let me be.

The fact is, no one's going to believe 100% that you DIDN'T have sex. I believe you, but I have my doubts.

1.1) I've had to share a bed with someone of the same sex before, and it creeps me out because
1.2) I used to be closet bi, but my orientation has changed since, and I guess there's been a sort of backlash effect where since then I really don't like being near other guys longer than I have to. All of my friends are girls. I'm like that one gay friend girls hang out with, except I'm straight. Maybe I still look/sound like I prefer sausage to taco? Damn you, father! Why did you have to look and sound like Dom Deluise?!
2) I talk as openly about sex as it comes to mind, and frankly I only think of sex when I'm thinking of my girlfriend. Apparently that doesn't happen to people anymore, but here I am.
3) Uptight people? I dislike them and tell them to get a life, but leave it at that.

1-1. I wouldn't really mind it. Depends a bit on the person in question though.

1-2. N/A.

2. Yea, in most cases. There are people I don't would enjoy it with though. Like my parents or my sisters... (ok, just the thought of it creeps me out... <.<)

3. Well, I don't know. Never really met one. Still, I think I'd be like I always am, and they'll just have to deal with it. Poor them... (Even my better friends consider me borderline annoying at best. Luckily for me I seem to be annoying in a good way <.<)

Well I went on a vacation and I had to share a bed with my best friend so it wasn't too difficult for me. I suppose I could share my bed with someone I didn't know as well, but I'd be a little hesitant.

Nope, doesn't really bother me. I mean, I'd rather share with a girl, but there we are :p

Lol so long as we're both clothed, and preferably top-to-tail (just to avoid close encounters) there's no problem.

As for talking about it, no I'm not bothered and pretty open.

As for uptight people, well it can be kinda funny if they find it awkward ^_^

1.2) Even if nothing happens, the fact that the person was inclined to is enough. It's just wrong if you have to make the person promise not to do anything, you know?
Isn't it a bit presumptuous (and a tad arrogant) to assume the person would be so "inclined" based solely on their gender preference, or that the person wouldn't have self control?
Probably. And I'm awfully paranoid and scare easily.

Not really. I've been to parties where we've all ended up sleeping in essentially a big pile

1) me and my mates are so close we often sleep in the same bed (or next to each other on the floor) anyway. gotta keep most of your clothes on though. NO older men, especially suspicious looking ones, i just wouldn't be comfortable.

2) NA

3) Yeah sure, i'm not embarrassed about that sort of thing, its also quite interesting

4) I internally LOL because they're usually being unnecessarily uptight. i used to be like that and i managed to break out of it, though i do feel sorry for them if they've been brought up to hide natural feelings (like strongly religious people)

I have no problem sharing my bed with anyone of either gender (I'm bisexual, but that's beside the point as long as it's non-sexual sharing of the bed)

I'm actually more surprised that your mom was worried about you sharing with a guy, but not with a girl. I'd think a parent with a straight child be more worried about that type of thing instead of the possibility of (ewwwww) having contact with someone of the same sex. Whatever happened to "boys in one room, girls in another. After lights-out there's no going into the other room"? I mean, that's kind of uptight in itself but it makes sense.

I love to talk about sex and sexuality. It's such a deep and complex topic and most people have very strong opinions about it. It's always interesting to discuss.

People who are uptight about sex and sexuality are lying to themselves about the nature of it. It's not something that should be taboo, and it definitely shouldn't be something where you're told how to understand it. It's something that everyone needs to explore and figure out for themselves. I tend not to talk to uptight people about sex, because chances are they're going to be condescending to people like myself who are open-minded about it. And since they're probably unwilling to change their opinion, there's no point in trying to educate them.

1.1) Would you share your bed with a person of the same sex? I'm a girl, so no problem. Actually, I'm more comfortable with the thought of sleeping in the same bed as a girl as I am about doing the same thing with a boy. I'm not gay or anything, but I have issues.
1.2) If no, what bothers you about it? See above.
2) Can you openly talk about sex or sexuality? Depends on who I'm talking to. Normally it's not a problem, but I do get a bit uncomfortable talking about it with people who I would dub significantly younger than me.
3) How do you act aroundd up-tight people? ...just don't talk about it? Or tell them to loosen up. :p

2:Yep, im quite open about it all.
3.I dont, I ignore them and move on with my life and hang around people who arent uptight-stick-up-ass type of people, they are boring.

Your friend who thought it was creepy is probably secretly gay. There is nothing wrong with being gay and there is nothing odd about sharing a bed with another guy even a gay guy. Christ it's just sleeping.
Had the guy molested you then yes, it would have been creepy. Instead he just found a soft place to sleep.

I hate this knee jerk reaction to homosexuality especially among guys. It's like guys don't think gay guys can control themselves. If a straight man can be alone in a room with a woman without trying to rape her then the same stands for people of all sexualities.

1.1: Yes, and I have. Hardly going to make my friend sleep on the floor.
2: Yes although I don't go on and on about it. If it comes up I have no problem. (lol, 'comes up,' brilliant)
3: I don't hang around a lot of them, usually tell them to lighten up.

1.1) Yes if I felt comfortable with the person.
1.2) -
2) I can talk about sex but if I do I prefer it if there is no girls present. I feel a little to awkward around them to talk openly about that sort of thing.
3) I usually just do not mention it.

EDIT: Read that wrong.

1. I suppose, but I'd like it to be a big bed or something. I don't want to be in physical contact with anyone at night, 'less it's a girl I like (and I'd prefer to be in a relationship, I'm just like that).

2. With some people, maybe not with others. Not much else to add to that.

3. Uptight about this kind of stuff? Hey, some people aren't comfortable with it. My friend is so PC he can't make light jokes at other's expense for the life of him. If they said it was creepy I was sharing my bed with a girl I can understand that. It can be hard to swallow sometimes is all. Explain it slowly.

That commment made me think of a bunch of questions I would like to ask the Escapist:
1.1) Would you share your bed with a person of the same sex?
1.2) If no, what bothers you about it?
2) Can you openly talk about sex or sexuality?
3) How do you act aroundd up-tight people?
1.1) I'd be mildly discomfited by sharing a bed with another guy. It really depends on the size of the bed and how familiar I am with the person though. As I am very large, the vast majority of beds would cause physical contact with whoever else happens to be in it, and I wouldn't be entirely comfortable with that with another dude. Could I ignore it if I must? Yes, but I'd prefer sleeping on the floor to sharing a bed with a guy (though this may be because the best night's sleep I've ever had was on the floor with a thin ass blanket and no pillow).

1.2) I couldn't really say why I'm uncomfortable with it, nor do I really care. It very rarely comes up, and when it does I deal with it. I've never been one to analyze why I think like I do.

2) Yes.

3) I just ignore them. Not really worth the effort to deal with.

I have done many times, there's nothing wrong with it.

Yea i can talk quite openly about sexuality to certain people...sex is slightly different as it's a little more intimate.

Depends on the person, but generally head down and keep quiet, let them think what they want about gay people while I think of, what I think are more, rational arguments against each point they make...however sometimes, especially if they're really bad and really hate anything like that and are very narrow minded then I have to speak out
