Shadow of the Colossus to be Re-Released?

I honestly don't understand why they are not doing this more often. It's easy cash with minimum expenses, so there's hardly any risk involved, so what gives? Not just for Ico games, but there are so many games I can think of that I would happily buy a remastered bundle of, like the Silent Hill games, a FFX and FFXII bundle, so many games that would be awesome to own in nice little good-looking packages for a reduced price.

SotC is actually worth going out and buying an old PS2 for. Re-making for the PS3? kinda a waste of time, and many fans might not have a PS3. I think a re-make should be in the same format, for the same platform, but that's just me I guess ^^; Can't say I can see much of a difference between most HD and SD variations, nothing worth spending extra monies over anyways, so I'm not that excited about the whole HD thing. Anyways, SotC is epic and anyone who can find an orig copy (very difficult around here ;_ should definitely look into it.

Shadow of the Collosus ranks as my number one favorite game from last generation.

I would go out tomorrow and buy a fucking PS3 simply for an HD Remastered compilation.

I just started this game again today. I found it, and remembered how much I loved it. I think an HD remake without the frame rate problems that the first one had would be ABSOLUTELY amazing.

HD remastered? Just getting them re-released is a dream come true, here in Aus the things are pretty hard to get a copy of. Putting them in HD.. I'd buy a PS3 just for that.

I had never heard of the game until i saw some images and info in a Games Design book i have. I think it looks ok and so yeah i guess i would give it a go if i ever get the chance (which means probably when im 60yrs old).

I wish they'd release it on the 360... I hate console exclusives, and I don't have a PS2 or PS3.

I wish they released it on the 360 as well, everytime people mention how great SotC is I feel like if they're laughing at xbox/360 owners saying "Hahaha you can't play this game and you most likely never will."

They actually did re-release Ico when they released SotC -- I know because that's how I got my copy of Ico. And I'm extremely thankful that they did, as Ico has hit my number-two-all-time-favourite-game spot (below Portal). SotC on the other hand I didn't enjoy nearly as much. I mean, I still like it, mostly, but I've never been a big fan of bossfights, and the grip mechanic irritates me. I still haven't actually finished SotC, but I've finished Ico at least five times now.

HD Ico probably would be enough to make me buy a PS3. HD SotC probably wouldn't.

This makes me a little sad, because I like playing older games and appreciating the graphics of that time, and if they improve it no one will play the original anymore... but WOW! SotC would look AMAZING in HD!
