I loath sex. I said it. I'm not condemning those who use this to be tossed into the sun, I'm just voicing my disapproval of the thing. Sure people are free to mindlessly romp about, I just think it's a rather disgusting and very much a primitive thing; a mammalian drive that functions by releasing chemicals into our brains. Don't you find the concept of actions being motivated by by dopamine, adrenaline, and hormones rather perturbing?

I'm sick of being told in real life and on ze' internet that I'm stuck in the past because I'm tired of seeing people wasting their time, effort, and productivity on meaningless pleasure. If one is stupid enough to waste such a significant portion of his earnings to be able to use this service, and then to spend time trawling, travelling, and doing the deed? Yes. I think they are a pretty big dunderhead. Especially when there's a substitute in the form of Kleenex and the Internet. Condescend me all you like, I'm just tackling this through a rather rational approach.

I just think that if $140 or whatever a year is a signifigant portion of your earnings, you've got it worse than me, and I can barely afford shampoo.
Still, I don't honestly see anything wrong with this site, just helps narrow things down for people a little bit.
After all I'm pretty sure getting rejected "cuz you're a gamer" is a pretty universal thing out there, women who game however, less likely to reject you, and rare to find in pubs/clubs/bars/other places where you go to find a fuck buddy offline... just saying.

I personally don't really have a need for the site in question, I tend to ask people out who are involved in stuff I am involved in, or customers at work sometimes,(seriously you'd never guess it but even when working at a gas station, you get a lotta girls who want you... or is this just my experience?) and date them, then sex is an added benefit, and when I'm not dating I can satisfy myself, and I take no shame in that, what must be done must be done.

To remain on topic, I've found that these dating websites are merely only a symptom of our society and can be found to have use for the less socially adept individuals around us, both male and female. Nothing wrong with an additional form of communication, even if that communication boils down to; 'Lets bang'

Be glad that these types of websites and more traditional prostitution are our only current signs of possible depravity, it could be far, far worse.

The implications of such a website on what it means for gaming is worse, surely 'gamers' couldn't be so socially inept as to need a matchmaker to get some action? Mmhn, I suppose it depends on the individual.

I honestly don't understand why people assume that dating sites are taboo, for the socially inept, or immature. I'm admit I may be biased, I use a free dating site.

Why?: A. Less time consuming. B. Better compatibility. C. No more blind dates or set-ups. D. Wider selection. E. Cuts out all the relationship/married/uninterested.

It's a hell of a lot easier and cheaper than going to the bar. True; this is a hookup site. But there's a bit of solace in knowing two things about a body before a roll in the hay.

If you're not meeting anyone special out there in the world or online with a free site why not just take a little of that extra cash that you're NOT wasting on a website and hire an escort. Ya know, Date-A-Gamer isn't a bad idea. I do think that more generalized dating sites would do good for people looking for a specific quality in a lover.

Shag A Gamer, on the other hand. I mean, yeah - on some online dating services, you will get people who are just looking to bump the nasty. But thats generally a bad idea -for the same reason 1 night stands are. You don't know that persons sexual history, you don't know if that person has been contaminated with an STD, and its hard to get a good read on a persons sanity if you're just looking for a quick way to relieve some stress.

That being said, from a business stand point, its genius. Gamers are known to have large amounts of income that they don't mind parting with - see anyone with a $1200 gaming rig or a collection of games. And, undoubtably, there is a nasty stereotype of gamers being virgins or not getting a lot of action. So yeah, charging people so they can meet people and get down with their bad selves isn't that bad of an idea - it will be successful. But still.

Online dating = not bad idea. Sure, you'll get a few... characters... but in the end, it can work out.

Ok, seriuosly, gamers in society are looked down as "nerds" and altrough this is not correct, society thinks it is, and as such they are the opposite of jocks, and in societies eyes jocks are the sex beasts, so it comes to a conclusion that geeks should be unable to have sex. In other words - society is fucked up, but thats that.


On topic: how does this differ from 1000 other sex sites other than it has a word "gamers" in its title?
