Weird question, Shamus, why drag this one back up and run it again? Or were there differences that my own memory lapse missed?
Well, some people did miss it when it was originally ongoing (myself included).
So, hell, I'm really content.

Heh, this brings back memories of that horrific starting area. I really hope you give that annoying Ironclad mission the treatment it deserves.

I enjoyed this, though; by the time I discovered Lulzy, you were already 20 in and I didn't feel like catching all the way up. It's nice to be able to follow a new segment from the beginning.

I've visited twentysided before and read this one quite a bit, but not all of it. I'm happy with what I'm getting.

But it would be cool if you did a Dungeons&Dragons Online one, just like the Adventures of Lulzy. It would be interesting to read that one. I remember all of the F2P quests until level 13 pretty darn well, at least i think so. It would be cool to see all the quests from another perspective.
But this is entertaining, too.

I never read the LOTRO one, because I started paying attention to the articles on the Escapist when it was about halfway over. I've never read this, either. So thanks very much for the read. You're a very funny man!
For a limited time only, we have all the old LotRO articles up for reading!

Also, Star on Chest is great even without heroin!

I actually really enjoy champions, bought it Day 1 and currently have my subscription up and running. It's still really flawed, but the combat is so much fun.

Star on Chest just hates it when cities don't have proper alien invasion plans.

Stop me if you've heard this one before, but... I've read this already on your other blog! I hope you are using this time to find another MMO to play... like WOW or something.
His latest blog entry actually talks about his decision to do this.

I am a little disappointed, personally, but escapist has a huge audience that hasn't ever visited his main site, so it seems like a safe move.

I tried Champions Online out a while ago - it was only $10, so combined with the free month it was a pretty great deal. Too bad the game itself wasn't that great - it only held my interest long enough to play for one session of about 3 hrs. But now, I can vicariously experience the rest of the game, in a way that's probably more entertaining than actually playing! Thanks, Shamus!

The best part of City of Heroes was it was the only MMO thatw as not gear dependent, and this game kills that by the time you are level 10. If you are not well equipped, you are gimped.
I have to disagree, your powers determined a LOT more than your equipped items in this. A character with a particularly nasty set of powers and nothing equipped is a lot more effective than a character with poorly chosen powers and great equipment. Granted having the gear is a nice boost, I didn't notice much improvement in that regard until around 30-ish when I could wear some really nice stuff.

Somehow I get the feeling Star on Chest is making his Escapist debut despite having been available on Twenty-Sided for some time due to the Star Wars MMO (I forgot the name since, well, I don't care much about it) not being released yet. I'd bet that's next on the Plays list.

Aw man. I was hoping for something new, but at least people will be able to see this, as they should; it's fucking awesome.

I did read this before, but I enjoyed it enough to read it again. Maybe we could look at this one like a "Director's Cut" or "Special Edition" wherein Star on Chest shoots first. Though I suspect he always shoots first.

And for what it's worth I really liked Champions. Id probably give it another run, try the new content they're adding, if it weren't for FFXIV coming soon (and my limited income). Woo.

I go for a quick run-through of the character building options and am able to craft my avatar in just under a fortnight, which is a new record for me.
Ah, the happy weeks I'd spend just trying to get the costume right.
I literally spent about 4 hours on a new costume when I got a new costume token (city of villains).. Thinking of a good outfit that's cool and cute is so hard!

It's getting the colour-blends just right; and making sure that the costume is utilitarian as well as looking good. People just don't understand how much WORK goes into saving the world.

That reminds me of a book I have from Amazon.com called, "Does this cape make me look fat?"

Shamus my friend, there is only one thing left for me to do and that is *facepalm*

I can't forgive you retiring Lulzy to bring an encore of this. This game is so awful its not even funny to make fun about it. Its one of those things you should just walk off and forget it ever happened. Thats just my opinio though. Many people seem to like so "On with the show"

I will be outside watching the stars until the at changes again.
