Thinking over Micah's question, Jenna took another pull on the straw in her glass. The shake didn't have much flavour to it, as far as she could tell. Maybe next time she would ask for a double shot of the flavour, if possible. She told herself to focus on the matter at hand: a theatre near the cafe. Jenna tried to remember which cinemas were of somewhat better quality than the others around town, coming up with a couple.

There was one called Skyview about five or ten minutes' drive from her house, but that would be way too far away. A couple of others were scattered around town; a cinema had been opened in the mall recently, and one was near the shopping centre people had to pass on their way to the beach, if they came from the southern end of town.

"Well... we could always go down to the mall, right?" she said. "I believe there's a relatively new theatre there, opposite the game store on the second floor. Alternatively we could go to Skyview, although that's probably a longer drive from here. Take your pick."

Her phone chirped again, and she pulled it out to read the text, presumably from Ben:
Code:
Just got ur message, haven't had my phone on. She's out of hospital 2moro, in a chair. I'll b there again, probs back 2 her place 4 the day.
Jenna half-smiled, but rolled her eyes, knowing her brother knew she used proper grammar in her texts and emails. He used txt-language just to annoy her.

"Let's go see the one in the mall." Micah answered. "It won't be as crowded there, and they should be pretty lax about outside food... Being in the mall, and all."

Micah sipped his coffee, having finished half of his cheesecake already.

"Of course, Skyview has better popcorn..." Micah thought aloud. "I'm fine either way... I'd prefer the one in the mall, though. What about you, Lyla?"

"Huh? Oh, it doesn't really matter to me where we go. I'm fine with what you guys decide." Lyla took another sip of water before standing up from her chair.

"I'm just gonna use the washroom before we leave. I'll be right back." Lyla walked to the restroom and came back a few minutes later.

"So have you guys decided what theater we should all go to?"

"I think we should go to the mall one," said Josh, trying to get them all on the move now, "Its the closest and if its the emptiest, well its more fun all around then," he smiled mischievously.

"I like the way you think, Josh." Micah said to his new friend, winking slightly. "Yeah, the one in the mall. Let me check the show-times."

Micah pulled out his phone from his pocket, and connect to its 3G Internet service. He tapped the screen several times, entering the URL for the movie theater's website and looked up the showtimes.

"Okay... the closest showing is at 2:10pm... It's 1:20pm right now... We've got some time to spare." Micah said to his friends, then taking another bite of his delicious cheesecake.

"All right, sounds good to me," Jenna said. She raised her eyebrows at the boys as they joked, but smiled. They were entitled to their ideas of fun. She drained the last of her shake in one, blinking at the cold temperature of it. Perhaps it was time to talk to Micah... No. She could wait until after the movie. That would be enjoyable, even if that particular film didn't turn out to be to her tastes.

She pinched Micah's fork when he set it down and stole a small bit of the cheesecake, popping it into her mouth with a cheeky grin before he could react.

"Jenna, you're already sweet enough." Micah commented on her stealing a bite of his food. "I don't think you need any more..."

Micah laughed slightly, before correcting himself.

"Oh man... That was just so cheesy... More-so than my dessert." Micah gave Jen a quick peck on the cheek, and gave her a one-arm hug.

It was Jenna's turn to blush at her own boyfriend's comment as Micah hugged her, but she had to smile at his combination of charm and humour. It was things like those which made her realise how little she knew about what he was doing... and how to give compliments herself. If there were some sort of book on the subject, she would happily read it, she thought.

"Cheese is good in small amounts, I figure," she answered Micah. "Just don't overdo it."
