Any of the Halo games, on Legendary:

Use the sniper rifle and the scoped weapons to your advantage. Take your time and be as precise as possible, killing as many enemies as possible from great distance. In Halo Reach especially, the DMR is the single most useful weapon other than the sniper rifle that you will have during the game.

Tetris:

Common knowledge, but always try and make sure that a single column is left alone, so you can rack up the high scores with a Tetris later. However, do not attempt this on higher speeds/levels, as it can go wrong very easily then.

Rome: Total War:

Use cavalry to your advantage. Try to have a line of infantry and lots of archers in front of them, and soften up the enemy as much as you can. Then have the archers retreat behind your infantry and keep firing, then when the enemy gets close use cavalry on the flanks and hit them from the front and side. A single massive charge from a small cavalry unit can break even the toughest or largest units. This strategy has helped me numerous times when I've been outnumbered in a battle, and is easily the best plan of attack on most maps. Also, always try to hold the high ground, and again, have your archers and cavalry on the hill for more damage.

Final Fantasy X-2:

Near the end of the game, before going to the final bosses, try going to the Via Infinito and getting through as many levels as possible, saving when necessary. This is a really quick and easy way of levelling up, provided you can face the monsters down there, and makes the final bosses piss-easy (it took me all of five seconds to beat the final boss after levelling up in Via Infinito...).

BlazBlue Continuum Shift Score Attack is an ass. Get a second controller and press start when you're about to lose. Beat up Carl the punching bag and go back to where you left off rather than having to restart completely. You're welcome.

If you have the Cloak and Dagger as a Spy in TF2, camp in places where people usually have their backs turned. Sniper nests are usually good. Then, especially if you have "Your Eternal Reward", stab some guy and then sap all the sentries you can find.

In any Fatal Frame game, never look in places that aren't required unless you have a real need to fight some ghost that aren't going to die for quite some time. If you need the spirit points then by all means, explore away. But If not, avoid unnecessary rooms to avoid ghost.

-Starcraft II
Make Marines.
Make Marauders.
Make Medivacs.
Make them attack the enemy.
Enjoy a refreshing victory drink.
Seriously, in 1v1 matches, this works so effing well it's not even funny. Anything more than one enemy, and don't bother, by the time you're finished with one guy, the other will have so much air support it will turn your marines into scrap metal and hamburger, and your Medivacs and Marauders will just sit there all useless-like as they are blown to shit by the air troops.

-Doom and Doom 2 and all their expansion packs and level packs.
Always use the goddamned shotgun. If you walk into a room that has a bit more heat than you'd like, feel free to take out the chaingun and calm things down a bit, but other than that, just point at what you don't like with the shotty and Swiss-cheese-ify it. And I mean the pump-action regular shotgun, not that breakdown piece of shit that just pisses away two shells.

-Team Fortress 2.
Spawn as Pyro.
Press W and M1. Aim yourself at things you want dead.
Press M2 if there is an incoming projectile from a non-hitscan weapon.
Enjoy another refreshing victory drink.

-Fallout 3 and FNV (and Morrowind).
Junk is not junk if you get cash for it. At the beginning of the game, pick up everything. Tin cans, soda bottles, scrap metal, it doesn't matter. Everything has value. Don't try this in Oblivion, though, because shit can have a "0" for a value there.

-Oblivion.
Just because not all trash is treasure doesn't mean you're screwed as far as money goes. Get a mortar and pestle, get food, and make potions. Sell them to alchemists. Go visit farms and steal all the food. Then make more potions. You will be set for life for money. And to think, most NPCs in that game make less than five gold in a year! Those morons. Yuk yuk.

And that's all I can think of off the top of my head.

Thief: Deadly Shadows

The Pagan cornerstone in Fort Ironwood is in the SouthEast corner of the graveyard.

Just sayin'.

Fallout 3.- If you blow up Megaton you get the good ending. Also, make sure you grab the Strenght Bobblehead, as it aparently can't survive a nuclear blast.

Oblivion: Forget Restoration, (some) Destruction and (most of) Alteration, go for Alchemy instead.
