How did it get to be their homeland? English comes from 'Angle' (not Angel ha ha ha ok I'l stop) who are from what the Romans called Germania. They came and conquered the native people living there or drove them west to Wales. So how can a people make a claim based on their status as uninvited invaders against invited immigrants?
I dont think you can still class us as invaders 2000 years after the fact?

That seems hardly fair.

Anyway anyone born here is british by definition, regardless of where their parents came from.

I personally think people, regardless of their religion, should follow the law of the land and not their religion.
Indeed.

As much as I don't want it to, I think this business is going to end in a ton of violence. Then Sharia law losing most or all of it's legal standing, or gaining extra ground depending on who hits who first.
Regardless of how true it the media will portray this very much as one rule for them, another for us. Which can only generate bad feeling. Since we English are a people willing to start riots and kill each other over football games, this can't be a good thing.

You know more then anything else, this is all the assurance I need that people's reactions to this matter are not entirely sympathetically induced.

Hear hear!

People seem to be forgetting that this is all perfectly legal, a right protected by british common law.

Why is it my homeland? Because I was born here, and I'm Welsh. If you somehow traced my bloodline, one half of it would be Celtic.

Also, you might want to look up some Roman history there, as they pretty much civilised the UK (as well as many European areas), since the Celts, Picts and all those other civilisations were barely organised tribes. They enforced Roman law and history as everyone knows it ensued...England and subsequently the UK grew from all that, and we kept the basic laws intact.

This is completely different.

Only if you subscribe to the idea that English culture has a legitimate place in England just because it got there first, and not for a better reason than that, of which there are plenty ;-D
Perhaps we can discuss it over a kebab. Or a curry.

We might aswell just lie on the floor with a sandwich with our eyes closed. Nothing we say or do will have any effect, in short, we have lost.

WHY WHY WHY?

Why should there laws legally Binding? I mean what the heck?.

If say, tons of english people, went to a country full of islams, And asked for there laws to legally binding, The islams would say no. So why the hell are giving them the right to there laws in OUR country. Its not right IMO
Because people who immigrate to western countries believe they have the right to bring their entire culture with them and force the native inhabitants of the host country to put up with it. The reason they get away with it is because most people by and large are so afraid of looking like racists do to political corectness and the promotion of white guilt that they won't even stand up for their own country, which is sad. I always thought that a massive influx of foreigners making demands and changing the way a country does things is called an invasion. Apparently it's called 'diversity' and it's a really neat thing.

Did you guys know that in Sharia law if a woman is raped and doesn't have 5 MALE eyewitnesses she is killed by stoning for being a liar if she accuses him?

You brits better get off your asses and take your country back. Obviously this isn't legally binding (yet) but just think about the frog in the boiling water. If you're not familiar with that, it's an old saying that if you drop a frog in a vat of boiling water it'll jump out, but if you put it in cold water and heat it up gradually it will allow itself to be boiled because it happened so slowly it didn't even notice.

What, are you kidding me? Your ancestors fought against the germans and the japanese with their lives to keep Britain free and now you're telling me you guys can't even be bothered to VOTE to stop a cultural invasion?
