17, dating 17. Can't really help ya, sorry D:
Generally anyone over 18 dating under 18 is unacceptable, if you ask other people. Though if two people really like each other I don't see why an 18 year old can't date a 15 year old...

it really comes down to whatever you choose. I honestly don't have a problem dating anyone from about 18 to 45.. if I go much older then 45, I get into "you could totally be my mom" territory, and that's too weird.

Legally (in my state) under 18 is under 18, though if I had a 12 year old daughter and some 15 year old started... exhibiting certain interests... he'd be running from my Harley and my .44

It's the whole 'daddy's little girl' thing that fathers go to extremes on that makes it dangerous territory.
Load Hollow points and send a message to the other 15 year olds.

Anybody over 18 has no business being with anybody under 16. I mean, really...if you have to say to your friends, "Sorry guys, I gotta go pick my girl up from school", don't you think there's something very wrong with that?
I speak as an Englishman in England, by the way. School ends at 16. I can understand the younger girls having an attraction to older guys - well, that car, that freedom, it's an attractive package. However, at what stage does it become socially acceptable for a 21-year old to be dating a 15 year old? In the real-life example I know, he's 23. She's 15. What the hell?

I also had a similar feeling of shame and 'what the fuck' when a colleague introduced me to his friends....he's 33. They were high-school emo kids. I felt very awkward being introduced by a guy fourteen years older than me to kids four years younger than me. AND being told about their drinking habits all the way down.

"age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter!" - wish I could remember who said that.

But yeah it's probably good to stick with the standard creepines rule (don't below date half your age plus seven).

Let's see, current legal age in my country is currently 18 for anal sex or people you meet on the internet, 16 for anything else, so I pick those ages as youngest allowed.
Wait you have to be 18 to legally have anal sex roflmao is this rule enforced x) like do they have to provide "evidence" should a court case occur. Oh man im in tears maybe im a little half cut still but that tickled me

@bader0: The idea of 13-year-olds dating or having boyfriends/girlfriends at all creeps me out. I feel like sitting them down and asking "What's your hurry?"
I was twelve when I first dated... and it was probably my healthiest relationship in hindsight. It really depends on the person (or rather, both people of the couple) 'cos some deal with it well, others don't... to be fair, though, I think I grew up emotionally a little too fast for my own good in my early teens.

OT: Being 25: 20-28-ish... but if I encounter an 18yo girl who matches my personality, is willing to indulge my interests, moods and stoicism, then I'd go for it.

Nothing's too old, really - it's just the motivations that come into play when there is an age difference, implying that the younger partner is wanted only for their body, and thereby respected less.

I'm 21 and I don't think I would mind if I had a GF who was 17, or maybe that's too young for me now, maybe I'll change my mind and move it up to 18.

I stick to my rule of no men that are younger then me and no one ten years old then me. For the group who is right next to the legal/illegal I say a three year rule is fine. However you try telling that to CPS.

As a teenager I wouldn't go out with a younger lad due to the huge gap that comes between August and september (thank you school years) and the immaturity that goes with it. Guys and gals above the age of 22 i think are entitled to anyone over the age of 22 (perhaps below 49)but if a 17 year old guy went out with a 15 year old girl I'd find that excessively creepy.

So I've been asking around and the general consensus between high school sophmores is something between 6th grade and 14 yrs old.

So my question to you is how old are you and when is she (or he) too young for you?
Also when is she too young for a 15-16 yr old spophmore? What about as you get older and how it changes? For example, a 15 yr old guy hitting on a 18 yr old girl doesn't seem that weird, but a 15 yr old guy hitting on a 12 year old probably (did I spell that right?) be frowned upon.

I expect some of you to have very diverse opinions.
As long as there's no problem with the law and a person's body is fully developed, any age difference is OK.

By the way, who came up with the dumb 1/2 + 7 rule and why are so many people accepting it?

I'm 23, 18 may be the lower limit, if not 17. As for relationships they may be too young, 20+ is the ideal age there.

I'm 41. Personally, I'd think anyone below 30 is probably too young for me. We'd be doing just fine and then I'd get a question like "who are the Eagles" and I'd be all "jesus christ, where's my fucking geritol?"
Hey, I'm 31 and I'd regard such a question as plain ignorance, not a generation gap. Then again, I listen to a lot of music from before I was born.

I've dated younger guys before, and when I was in my teens it was ok, but now I'm 22 and I just can't date a guy under the age of 21 anymore. Not out of morals or anything, I'm just tired of all the immaturity, not to mention I'd like to go out somewhere and get drinks with my guy.

I'm 18 and my girlfriend is 16, which I'd say is perfectly acceptable.
Usually refer to this when deciding.
Unfortunately, this equation fails you a little if you are aged 12...

Well I'm 19 and 16 being the legal age over here I'd say the age gap isn't too large at that point, so I'd say that. Any lower and it would creepy...also illegal which is somewhat more troublesome.

I'm a girl first of all. And I freely admit that I *heavily* prefer older men. So I will go very high up, but going down to an 18 feels weird to me (I'm 20). And even then, he'd have to be a really fucking cool 18 year old
