Far from it. Had OoT been released on time, it might have been one of the first, but because Miyamoto took his time, it came out fairly close to the end of the N64's life. However, that game practically defined how to make a great action-adventure.

This is the guy that basically made the games industry what it is today. He's the one that saved it from being a few guys in Europe coding games in their bedrooms after the US crash into a multi-billion dollar industry. I'd say he's earned this.
