The time. I always have to check it twice, the first attempt never works.
Likewise. And I'll probably check again if someone then asks me what the time is.

This kind of stuff always happens to me. One time I forgot that I had already taken a step with one foot and took another with the same foot and fell down the stairs.
I'm sorry, but that just sounds so hilarious!

OT: Yeah all the time. But the specifics escape me right now.

If I watch a Discovery channel show about Egyptian Pyramids and the show were to play again 30 minutes later. I could pretty much watch it again as though it was the first time. I love those shows but retain nothing beyond some visuals.

I often forget useful things. I've probably put up drywall in over a dozen houses in my life..but I couldn't possibly do it on my own because I don't remember any of the steps to doing it right. Same applies to any number of crafty tasks. I've aided in the building of several decks, garages, sheds, roofing...yet don't actually know the first thing about any of it.

I do however remember useless things like the punchout password to get to Mike Tyson, despite not used that password since I was a kid (007 373 5963). I know that number but I can't tell you my home phone number or social without looking those up in my wallet. Go memory!

On several occaisions I realize I have to take some medicine, but I forget if I have taken it already that day or not and since I can't overdose on the crap, I spend the entire day wondering if I did or didn't take it.

Whenever I think of a list of things that I need, when I try to recap and summarize it (before able to write it down) I always forget the first item.

That and usually when I'm busy or thinking about something, I'll walk off to another part of the apartment, even grab something off a shelf or table- then suddenly stop and forget why I came there in the first place- go back to my homework or computer, then remember that I needed 'X' and have to get up and get it.

Writing assignments that nobody mentions frequently. I'm already late on a report about a museum, which I SHOULD BE DOING RIGHT NOW.

Names. I seriously suck at remebering them. I've been in my psych class for a year and a bit. I know less than half of their names.
Unless I'm introduced to them, seperatly over a period of time, or actually care what their names are then I'm not going to remember.

Also, who I've told what. It gets very confusing sometimes.

And finally, where I put my keys.

Whenever a tv show cuts to commercial I always forget what show it is. Sometimes I don't remember until halfway through the next show on the channel.

I seems i'm the opposite of a lot of people posting as my mind seems to take a persons name and lock it in the "DO NOT FUCKING FORGET" catagory instantly.

Instead i just wander upstairs, forget what i'm doing up there, go back downstairs, half remember, go back upstairs trying to find some sort of trigger and then finally remember and get whatever i come up to pick up.

Names. I can have real trouble remembering names. Especially if you introduce someone to me. I have to make sure I pay attention to the name and link it with their face or else I'll forget it really fast. I can't just pick it up. Faces I'm much better with remembering. I'll easily recognize someone, but I'll have a devil of a time remembering what they're called.

I forget:
-my fiance's birthday constantly, but never how much it hurts to have a coffee mug thrown at me
-why we have coffee mugs when we don't drink coffee
-that I have locked the door to the apartment behind me by the time I get to the elevator
-passwords and user names to my various accounts

I always remember the small unimportant details, but never big things like names. God I'm terrible with names...

*edit: I forgot to put chemistry in there to. I don't normally have problems in science classes, but chemistry kicked my ass.

Nearly verbatim what I wanted to say. It takes meeting people and hearing their names a few times for me to associate it with a face, and most of the time I'm not sure if I'm correct.

People's names go in one ear and out the other.

EDIT: Just people's names, though. Songs, movies, games, books, fictional characters, those names stick with me.
