Short hair on women?

I have long hair, down to my waist. I once had it cut to a short bob, didn't work for me.
I would love to be able to pull off short hair, maybe a pixie cut, because I could do so much with it. My hair is too long to do anything with it, I can't even curl it because no matter how much hair spray I put in, it just falls flat.

I would miss my long hair if I got it cut though.

If you have a very feminine face - big eyes, big lips, smaller nose, just general cuteness - then go for it. You may have to beat the men away with a big stick. If you're face is more masculine (not the same as manly - just harsher looking) then be cautious because there's a fine line between 'pixy' and 'lesbian'.

As a general rule I tend to prefer fairly short hair on woman. You don't get tickled all night when you sleep next to them, and there are other bedroom advantages, + when pulled off it just looks very cute.

I think it generally depends on the face-shape of the woman in question, but short hair can look very good indeed.

Lucy Akhurst is one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen, especially as she appeared with the short hair in Spaced.

Wish I could find a bigger picture, where she's not doing that ridiculous pout.

Depends on the head it's attached too, obviously. Some women just don't short hair, but the women who do suit short hair can look incredibly sexy in my opinion.

Long hair is lovely and all and can be very 'pretty' or 'beautiful', but for some reason I see shorter hair as 'sexy'. Especially colourful, nicely styled, short hair. That's the kind of hair that makes me initiate conversations with strangers of either sex - I love the look of nice hair =D

As someone else has said, it depends on the woman, as well as the style. I mean, there?s nothing wrong with short hair on women (people that go, ?Hurr durr she looks like a lesbian? can fuck off) and it?s quite practical, but (speaking as a heterosexual man who?s trying to be as little of a pig as possible) some just can?t pull it off (a similar concept to long hair on men, or even small breasts on women ? and no, don?t call me a paedophile just because of that; I don't know how to explain it, but sometimes it can make them look more...slender). On the other hand, others look really cool and/or sexy with a hairstyle like that. I just searched ?pixie cuts? to learn what they were, and I can say that I?m generally a fan of them. ?Short-haired punk style?, whether or not it has a specific name, can be nice in some cases as well. And something about "boyish charm".

There?s a girl at my school who I suddenly developed a crush on because she became way hotter when she cut her hair short and styled it nicely ? I think it was a pixie cut too. That, and she started hanging out with my friend group, but she?s never taken that much of an interest in me and runs away from me whenever she?s drunk because she thinks I?m trying to rape her (in a nutshell, at a previous party, I got drunk, tried flirting very badly, and chased after her because I wanted to talk with her ? and just talk?with maybe the latent intention of scoring). And there are two other short-haired girls, probably with pixie cuts, a year above me in school that are really hot as well.

Since I?ve been rambling (with little to no experience on hairstyles so I didn?t even know the name of the one you were talking about until you mentioned it, and I?m sloppy with how I look after my own shitty hair), I?ll sum it up by saying that I think they rock in most cases. It definitely won?t be a dealbreaker.

Also, obligatory Winona Ryder pic:

Shit, I never noticed just how hot that woman is. Any straight man or lesbian that looks at her and says dead seriously, ?Short hair on women looks ugly? must be fucking insane. Excuse me.

Some women can pull it off, and some end up looking like Justin Bieber.

I am of the opinion that Anne Hathaway and Emma Watson fall into the former category.

Pixie cuts often work, but they can also go very, very badly. Basically, don't do this:

I love me some "Once Upon A Time" but that haircut has bothered me since episode 1. She looks like a 12 year old boy. Ugh.

So yeah, pixie cuts are often awesome, but can also be risky. Proceed with caution.

Olivia Wilde was so effing hot in that movie.

Like Daystar said. Some women can pull it off and some can't. When done right it's fucking awesome!

Well, I'm so incredibly desperate for interaction with a nice human being I've started to consider almost all people attractive.
That being said, short hair is a lot more practical, and practicality is something I value, so it might mean I prefer short hair, I don't know.

No woman can pull off a "pixie cut." It's just unattractive.

Shorter hair is attractive on some women, it really just depends on your body style.

But in general, I prefer a girl to have mid-neck to shoulder-length hair or longer. But not necessarily all the way to your butt either.

While I was at university, I grew my hair out most of the way down my back. (Think like a really scruffy mermaid.) But earlier this year, I finally got fed up with it. One Saturday morning I marched to the nearest hairdressers and got it cut to just below my ears. That haircut changed my life.

Seriously, it takes me about a quarter of the time it used to for me to shower in the morning. My hair doesn't need brushing several times a day any more. I don't get strangled when I put on a jumper! :D

While I can't speak for most guys I can say that short hair can be very appealing. It draws more attention to the face and eyes imo. If you think you can pull off a shorter cut then try it. Though coming from a guy that means little lol. If I screw up a hair cut it ain't really that bad for me xD

I generally think a woman who looks good with short hair probably looks better with longer hair, e.g. Emma Watson; but if you're more comfortable or happier with short hair go for it, I know it's much easier for me since getting mine cut!

What do I think? Well, if you don't mind me saying, it's as sexy as all hell (probably not the best comparison but I'll roll with it).

I think most women look really good with the whole pixie cut thing it doesn't suit everyone's fashion sense though, and urge you to go for it...

Or get a shaved head but, then again, I'm probably the only person on this site that thinks that's a good look and it really only does fit a lucky few women...

Not everyone can, no, but a haircut is more a personality thing. Like hats. You can just put on a hat, but that doesn't mean you should. To that end, though, if you liked cutting it shorter, than dare yourself, and go for something even more daring. The pixie look is quite fun. And hey, worst comes to worst, it looks silly for awhile. Winter's coming (possibly, depending on which side of the equator you live in), so you could always wear a beanie/knitted cap/took and cover it up if it doesn't go your way. But hey, it might. Go into your hairdressers, and talk it over with them, see some examples, and go for it.

Good luck!

I love short hair on a woman. Anyone average-looking instantly looks attractive to me with short hair. Dunno what it is, it's just an incredibly attractive feature to me for some reason.

I prefer long hair, but short can look really good too. It depends on how it's styled and the look the woman is going for.
