Is it just me or are shotguns in most games very unrealistic, normaly realism dosent bother me but this trend of making shotguns useles unless your half a milimeter away from your target is infuriating, Shotguns are one one of my favorite weapons and I'm fead up of getting all exited in my mutter in a creepy twitchy gremlin like voice only to discover it takes 6 F#%£ing shells to down one enemy!
Another thing; next time you play an FPS find a shotgun stand about 50 yards (in game obviosly) away from a wall and fire. anyone whos ever fired a shotgun in real life will know that buckshot just plain dosent spread out that mutch. actualy I doubt the holes will aper in the wall at 50 yards. Buckshot does spread out no mistake but realy I once stood right next to a wall a meter away fired the shotgun the scatter was nearly 2ft across! (I dont remember the game right now if I do later I will say so) a scatter 2ft across is what you get at 50 yards with wide spread ammo not with standerd 12gauge shells.
there. I'v said my bit about how annoyed I am at my favorite weapon type being dragged through the mud, what do youse think?
