From the demo, it seems pretty decent to me. Dunno if it's worth full price though.

I've been loving it single player so far myself, can't wait till I get online and see one of you guys to team up with.

Having spent 30+ hours on the first game, I am a little dissapointed with the lack of mission variety and structure. There was more sense of progression in Crackdown 1 as you worked your way up the crime food chain.

Other than that, I absolutely love it. The most fun, colourful, OTT sandbox I've ever been in, and orb collecting is still utterly addictive.
Except the rockets, right? ;)

I don't know how you do it, single player I mean. It seems so lonely in that city without a fellow mutant cop to knock around. I mean, who else can you throw a bus at that will get up and laugh about it?

You throw a bus a one of those regular Agency goons and your boss yells at you.

I'd say yes, the original Crackdown is still one of my favourite games I own on my 360. If only they were on PC too...

Gaaah... blasted rocket spam!! And I just noticed that now they have homing missiles :(

I love it single player because I love the exploring of the city and the mayhem puncuated by lovely moments of quiet calm looking out over the vistas from high rooftops... you know me, all about the immersion and taking in the atmosphere.

It's a total blast co-op though, definately funny as hell knocking everything around with the concrete Q-Tip :D

Yes. The homing missiles are most annoying. You duck around a corner thinking, "Ha! You missed!" only to be followed by that blasted device and have it explode in your face. I hate it.

Actually, I thought of you when I read a Penny Arcade a while back talking about RDR. Tycho says the same sort of thing when talking about those vistas.

I do tend to get absorbed hunting the orbs and forget that I'm in a co-op game until I get shout for help. ;)

And I'm saying it now, "concrete Q-Tip" is my new favorite term for a weapon.

Otherwise known as 'The Mighty Thor Hammer of Death!'

I think my GF was wishing she was a gamer last night seeing the fun we were having :D

She should join us! Gaming couples are hard to come by. We are like rare... rare... something that's really rare!

My brother and sis-in-law used to play with us. But then they had a baby. And now there is one less gaming couple in the world.

It's like a fairy dying or something. Truly tragic.

Nah, she doesn't have the attention span. She couldn't even play Little Big planet for more than five minutes lol.

I was online with OnyxOblivion today though, if we're on again this week I'll send you an invite :)

Not even with the curiously shaped rockets you designed? (If I am not remembering this story correctly, ignore this)

Awesome. I shall look forward to it.

I think I'm the only one of my friends who doesn't adore the Crackdown series, it's like a jack of all trades but a master of nothing, which I don't like. Take the hand to hand combat for example, yeah you can do a Chuck Norris roundhouse kick, any other moves you can do besides throw a car at someone? No (at least not in the first one) and it's just clunky, you could do that kick either standing completely stationary or moving at top speed, neither of which were ideal. So yeah, I'd say no

I never really liked the first one but the second one looks like it would be more fun from the demo anyway.
