What do you fellow Escapees think?

Should I buy it? £24.99 isnt bad. I was a fan of the DMC series.... if that has any signifigance :)

Opinions, worth my pennies?

I'd wait a little longer.

On topic, heh, what does the title of your post have to do with it's subject?

I'm waiting for a price drop myself,
or that 90 minute demo they promised,
to see if it's anything to my taste.

It's a great game. Doesn't do anything new at all, but it's a solid, enjoyable game that's incredibly polished. It's got a great art style as well. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with it. Don't worry about replay value either, you should get a decent 15-20 hours out of it, and if you enjoy this style of game then you'll love it.

Hell no!

Darksiders was terrible. I was so goddamn disappointed in that game.

Get Bayonetta or Bioshock 2 or hell even Dante's Inferno is better than that.

Its a decent game, I finished it the other day. Its certainly not a ground-breaking game but if you can find it cheaper, or get it for the £24.99 if you're really curious, then money well spent I would say. I got it on Day 1 for £40, maybe it isn't worth paying £40 for, but anything less than £30 then go for it.

Yes...don't listen to reviewers and Kratos lovers use your own brain to determine whether you'll like it or not.

eh. More of a rental. No replay value whatsoever.
This. And even knowing this beforehand I felt it just wasn't that strong of a game. It was spread way too thin amongst all it's ideas.

It's more Zelda than DMC. The combat is nowhere near as refined/well-executed as DMC or God of War or any of the other games where combat is the main focus.

Darksiders is mainly about puzzle solving and exploration over combat. That's not to say combat is ignored, it's just not the main focus of the game. There's very little depth to it, and it's mostly just mashing 1-2 buttons.

I'd recommend picking it up if you've played any Zelda game since Ocarina of Time and enjoyed it. The feel of the game is pretty much identical. I like to think of the game as what would happen if Link happened to live through Armageddon.

These are the kinds of threads I love responding to. I get to say:
Flip. A. Coin.
The coin will solve all your problems if not create new ones like; Where the hell am I going to get a coin? or Who uses coins anyways?

Just get it and get a refund before the weeks over.
