I guess, it didn't belong to me so it was probably not my place to give it away but while I could use the money, I don't really have much use for jewelry.

It could have been stolen if it still had the price tag on it. Maybe it was a good thing that you gave it away.

I've done questionable things to be honest.

I wouldn't be surprised if it had been stole, also it might not have been real, either way it doesn't matter.

I think a lot of people have done questionable things. Recognizing that they may have been wrong and trying to atone for them and do better is something I would consider the trait of a good person.
