So what is the sickest you've ever been, escapists?

I was on vacation in Mexico a few years ago for a celebration thing and I ate some bad food and was bed ridden for a week. I couldnt eat anything and I could hardly move. Luckily I got soome antibiotics and was well enough to return state side and go to a hospital

Does having an extra vein that caused me to cough up blood count as "sick?" If so, that.

If not, mine would also be a flu that had throwing up and feeling like crap for a few days.
Fun times.

I had pneumonia. Mum sent me to school too, thinking I was just trying to get out of going. Off to the doctors at lunchtime, made her feel guilty. It was only early stages though, not bad enough for a hospital stay, they gave me a shot for the pain and some form of medication and I spent a few days in bed.

I had the Flu with a temp of 104 degrees F. I was hallucinating that my grandmother was in the house with me when it was really my mom. They had to put in in a tub of ice water so keep my brain from cooking in my skull. That was all on Christmas Eve and Christmas. Christmas is also my birthday! It was super LAME.

Stomach flu+food poisoning=best three day weekend ever.

The only times I ever sat up out of the bed were to vomit, and half the time I was barely conscious.

Good times...

I caught strep throat a few months ago that made it nigh impossible to swallow anything.

When I had a vomiting and diarrhoea bug at the same time.

Let's just say I had a new room for a weekend...

I had a virus which caused me to throw up anything I ate or drank, giving me severe dehydration in the space of a day (it also gave me very nasty dirrhea, another sure fire cause of dehydration). I was taken to the doctors and he suspected I might have had meningitis due to a few other things like a massive headache and photophobia, so I was rushed straight to emergency and admitted very quickly and had 3 lites of saline put back into me and an anti-migraine drug as well which worked. Luckily it did, because the next step was a Lumbar Puncture which would have killed.

OOH OOH! Christmas Day last year! I threw up 8 times in two hours! The sickness lasted about 9 hours for a total of 13 pukes. FTW!

I was pretty sick a year or so back due to depression. I stopped eating for a few weeks and barely went out or slept.

Yeah, I was pretty messed up.

I caught a throat virus in seventh grade that gave me the worst sore throat imaginable. Not only did it hurt all the time, it was freaking painful to eat, let alone breathe. At the height of the sickness, I woke up in tears due to the pain.

I wish I had caught strep so I could've had the antibiotics, but no...and now the virus resurfaces once a year, but never with the same intensity.

I'm not gonna get into gruesome details. Lets just say that when I was 15, I got so sick my parents had to buy a new couch.

Sickest I've ever been was a few years back (was either in elementary school or middle school.) when I had a fever of about 105 degrees Fahrenheit and I had these awful stomach cramps that felt like I was being kicked in the stomach repeatedly by a mule. To make matters worse, I was having these hot/cold flashes all over and I was hallucinating. (was convinced that my dead cat was there.) Spent a good while just curled up in a ball.

I have Cyclical Vomiting Syndrome so, you know, any of those times. Notable mentions include the three times I've thrown up in school, throwing up on a train, throwing up in a supermarket, and blacking out from dehydration and waking up 4 hours later covered in sick in my bathroom.

Oh yes. It's unpleasant.

I've generally been pretty lucky. I was quite ill as a baby, apparently, but obviously I don't remember any of that. I got a really bad bout of flu around this time last year and spend two whole weeks feeling like death. Couldn't talk or eat thanks to the sore throat, constant coughing made sleep very difficult, whole body weakness meant I couldn't do anything except sit around watching TV... ugh.

I once had this really awful bug in my sustem, pretty much every 5 minutes I would simultaneously vomit and poo my pants, I had absolutely no control over it. I just couldn't bring myself to eat, and was so tired from all the exhaustion of well, you know, that I could seldom do anything but lie down on the couch, with a fresh pair of underpants and a bucket on standby, just watching all the classics on a nice low volume. I was like that for about three days, I ended up having to drag myself down to the doctor, he gave me a shot...on my backside and I gradually felt better afterwards.
