my rage for the past 3 days has been Heart Gold, for the fact of the legendary beasts running around the land, 2 hp between them, both had a stat on them (they where froze if you must know) and i couldent catch them! but i finaly got them yesterday, so i think my rage blackouts will end.
I've been having this. But I've only got Entei down that low. Somehow it's asleep and still manages to run away from me. That and I can't find a Pokeball good enough to catch it.

Also, something that pissed me off with Guitar Hero: World Tour was this strange failing lag. I would be down in the red and be about to fail but I'd hit a note and still fail. It would say I hit the note, but still fails me anyway. That's a good sign that something is wrong.
Try getting some Dusk Balls and hunt for them at night with a sudowoodo in your party, or gasley (Mean look for the later, Block for the former) and have at it, but trust me, its hard...

Ah, the "Statistics" problem. When there is absolutely NO WAY that things could go wrong, and it should be fine, and things still go wrong. Yeah, that is a problem.

That or around the 5th escort quest...
Chosen one is a little overused. And when everyone needs a damn escort...I'll just start my own damn shop for escorts, if people need em that much.

only thing i can think of is bad camera angles, Ninja Gaiden had its bad moments, but it didn't make me want to destroy my controller.

Yeah pretty much this Bad Company 2 and Aliens vs Predators released multiplayer demos and I was all, "There's definitely something wrong with the campaign", turns out I was right.

When the pause button doesn't pause and you get owned while taking a shit. Damn you Demon's Souls!
I loled, but I understand. A pause button that doesn't pause is something that would really piss me off...as I'm going to the bathroom.
It's even worse cause in Demon's Souls you go back to the start of the level and everything is alive. Grr.

Thank you!

Modern Warfare 2, you stand accused.

OP: That and when a game noticeably starts recycling textures from earlier on in the game.

Expect a 'We ran out of money' ending where nothing gets resolved approaching soon.
you wouldn't even consider the last option had yahsdhathajzee never mentioned it. also i'm terrible at getting his name right

This is the very reason I fear for Starcraft II. Though we are told that the single player campaign is going to be epic, it worries me when I see the only demo out is multiplayer.

Come now. Some people held these opinions before they were mentioned in some video online. Besides, do you have anything to contribute to one thing that "broke" a game?

I saw gameplay of the original Starcraft and Starcraft 2 and I gotta say it looks the same, but with better graphics. Now Civ 4 on the other hand looks completely different from the other Civ games, hope its good.

Random combat.

"Why, yes, you stupid sack of fuck, I would like to spend more than 20 seconds actually getting somewhere before being jumped. Any chance of that happening? No?"
I think random combat has fallen to pieces now. We should be able to see it coming now. Enemies roaming the map or something like that, so if we want, we can get around them.

Sometimes the spawn points can break a game. You step into a nearly empty room, and suddenly there are three hundred zombies where there once was none. Damnit, that pisses me off just thinking about it.

It is polished, but it seems to have changed a few things (such as units that can jump ledges and such).
Anyway, what is the attraction of Civ anyway? If I remember correctly, that is a game with gold, metal, and food, right? I never liked that much resource gathering.

Could you explain your position a little more clearly? When should multiplayer be the bigger thing rather than the single player? MW2 has already been used as an example for the one, which is yours?

Well I've only played Civ 3 and I loved the feeling of ruling an empire, it's hard to explain. I played like an hour of Starcraft and to me the game was EXTREMELY heavy with resource gathering that I just got bored and gave it back to my friend.

To be fair to the Bad Company one though, Battlefield has been an online multiplayer game since it's conception. It's designed to be one.

I'm actually a bit tired of people complaining about a game's singleplayer being bad when the multiplayer more then makes up for it. You know what it indicates? It indicates the game was made for online multiplayer! There are singleplayer games that are good as well, that have little to no multiplayer on them. Why? Because they were designed to be played singleplayer in the same way the others were designed to be played as an online multiplayer.

Now, on topic.

A major sign for a game going horribly wrong is when you know you are one or two missions away from the end, and there are several unresolved plots left untied. When you can predict a game is going to end in a cliffhanger, something has gone horribly wrong.

A better example actually which really makes my argument, and has been brought up in this thread already, is Bad Company 1.

It was this "amazing" singleplayer game, and totally forgot about what made the Battlefield series great. Multiplayer.

So theres my example.

When I get to a point where the enemies in the game are impossible to beat right out of the blue.

I'm talking to you Baldur's Gate. Shame.

For me it's when games lack a brightness control. It's not usually a problem now, but I went back to play Kingdom Hearts on my weirdo TV(It's brightest setting is really dark) and can't play it anymore. What's that Kingdom Hearts? You want me to jump across a lake via stepping stones in total darkness? Fuck that.

Oh, and I skipped the legendary beasts problem by playing FireRed three times over, saving the master ball to catch the legendary beast in each one.

When camping gets me better results than playing fair. I'm not actually talking about a FPS, believe it or not.
