@hanselthecaretaker2, some gameplay footage from TGS 2024. This keeps looking better and better. They even fixed some cut-scenes and made them more accurate to the game. James's eyes being in shadow for example in the opening mirror cut-scene.

Second video is private but the TGS footage looked good. They probably could’ve had a better player to show off the shooting but the hit response on the nurse enemies was pretty on point.

@hanselthecaretaker2, Easy Allies is loving SH2R.

This is a good sign! The meta is currently higher than I would’ve thought too -

Apparently if you preorder the PS5 Deluxe edition it unlocks tonight. I was almost gonna pull the trigger like entitled middle American I am, but then it turns out its the digital only edition. $80 for a digital game? Fuck Konami. Ive got a weakness for collectors crap I can put on a shelf - https://shop.bitmapbureau.com/produ...141HH9kKg64JsWXBzZ4PAGoMU4IkDLphkRwSPFCBp1OZa

But $80 for digital crap? hard pass.

Im just gonna wait for steam I think.

One of the reasons why I went physical. I collectors to an extent, but I have my own limits like anyone else. I got a $5 coupon for GameStop too, and I might trade in some games I am not touching anymore. Still debating on it.

Watching it now, not subbed to his channel, but agree with the title and am confident that I can already post it because of the deserved bashing he gave God of War 2018.

I wasn't planning on getting this one, rather staying on the sidelines while watching everybody else eviscerate it for not being the game they remember. But if it's actually good, then I might actually have to play it. Maybe once I finish Dead Space and a replay of Resident Evil 4, do the triple crown.

I never played the original, unlike with Dead Space and RE4, so I'm not gonna have that layer to compare it to, but (usually) a good game is a good game regardless of needing to have played another game first before it becomes good.

Gaming Brit is a pompous, arrogant, contrarian biatch when it comes to type of subject matter. This is the same asshole who started throwing insults at people for liking the Norse God of War and said they're "forcing themselves" to enjoy it. He also kept throwing insults to people enjoying the game in different later video reviews that had nothing to do with GoW 2018 for about a year. This is the same asshole that said the Kojima directed Silent Hills would have never been a good game, and started dissing anyone who thought otherwise. BTW, he got so much negative backlash from that video, he set it private, because GB knew he fucked up. His RE3R video, he deleted and put on private for similar reasons, but at least that one he didn't go about insulting people for enjoying the game. GB re-uploaded his RE3R video last year. This is the same asshole who hated The Last of Us (which I don't care for much), only to praise about 3-4 years later like he was always a fan. Ask @Casual Shinji.

It's really hypocritical on his part, because one: he has not played the game yet, and two: GB enjoyed the shit out of RE2R and RE4R. This is coming from the guy going on about how he prefers playing older games, and won't be reviewing or talking about newer games much, unless they peak his interests. Like Hi-Fi Rush for example. Something he does enjoy. This video is nothing more than contrarian rage bait. GB, you said all the way back in 2019, you prefer talking about older games and weren't going to waste time reviewing newer gamers you knew weren't going to enjoy. It's just dumb "prediction" video aimed at people who weren't going to like SH2R to begin with and constantly living in nostalgia la la la land.

I trust Easy Allies far more than I trust Gaming Brit. EA knows what they're doing and talking about. FTR, Easy Allies don't always play nice and they know when a game is shit. I still have my disagreements with them every once in a while, but nothing like Gaming Brit. I am subscribed to GB's channel, but only for his reviews on older games or newer action games, but I am seeing less of a reason to keep him around. Cvit is literally the better version of him at this point. I'll hear nothing else otherwise, and he can kindly fuck off. The man has not said a useful thing nor had a "profound thought" in years. He's just another self-fart sniffer who thinks he knows better than everyone else. You clearly already have an axe to grind to begin with, so there is no point in convincing you.

Excellent move. Thinking for yourself is the best way to go.

You're damn right. Take all the time you need. October is a crowded month this year. Sonic X Shadow Generations comes out on the 25th, and Shadows of the Damned Remastered comes out the 30th.

"...but they also ask us to canonize what being modern means, validating the notion that the only form big budget games can take now is one where they have an over-the-shoulder camera perspective where you hold L1 to aim and R1 to shoot, by updating everything to that same model."

He's completely right. Tired of this camera. Look at what they've done to Until Dawn, ironically more video game than movie now thanks to the frequent use of the over-the-shoulder cam when the original cam made it so cinematic, the type of game where you would actually WANT that. Lost so much atmosphere. Nothing in that video I really disagree with. Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater also looks so pointless.

God of War was crappy. I still remember that some of you acted like I didn't know what I was talking about because I hadn't played it, like I don't have eyes and can't somewhat figure out how a game will play and the tone it will have from looking at it. Then I was banned and one of you claimed I get all my opinions from YouTube. When I finally did play it, all my criticisms were confirmed and I found much more to complain about.

If he was still railing on God of War fans a year later, why would I care? I don't like the industry that those types forced on the rest of us either and the attitude they have about anything that doesn't follow standard modern AAA design.

Because it shows that he is not as mature, GB likes to present himself as. Yet will cry a lot when people (regardless of how respectful those with opposite opinions are) don't share the exact same opinion and expect an echo chamber withing his small fan base. If you relate to him on any level on that, then it says more about you than him. Also, your "precious critic who tells the truth/TELLIN IT LIKE IT IZ! " loves Devil May Cry 5 and he would throw insults at you for not agreeing with him. Have fun with that. Like I said, I am not wasting 6 and a half minutes on the bitchy asshole who does not know how to have fun anymore without raining on others fun or parade.

I know that he loves Devil May Cry 5. I don't have to agree with everything someone says. It's not gonna bend me out of shape like it apparently does to you. I think I've posted one other YouTube opinion piece here this year, the Resident Evil 4 remake critique, and you complained about that guy's character too.

It kind of sucks that the remake is getting this much positive coverage, because that means I'll actually have to pick it up to see for myself when I was ready to completely ignore it. See, I'm still not seeing much good here other than maybe the nicely rendered scenery. I think James' walking animation looks awkward and unfinished, I don't like the camera over-the-shoulder for a Silent Hill game, Eddie looks like he's got nothing left to hide from the moment go due to his design, and the action gameplay looks way too involved for both the character and for how awkwardly animated it again is. Also, the red coloured HUD elements are actually offensive, but I suppose you can turn those off.

It might even be an alright game, but I'm just not getting Silent Hill 2 from anything I've seen so far. I'm getting just more of the post-Silent Hill 4 western B-tier studio vibes.

But I guess I'll have to pay up if I want to be sure. *sigh*

I am not getting any of those vibes. At least Bloober has former Team Silent people working with them, so it doesn't feel that way to me.

No one is forcing you. If you don't want to play it right now, that is fine. You're not being a jerk about it, so I can automatically respect that.

Said by you, who has a problem with a woman being a main protag to a sequel of a samurai/ronin/ninja open world game, where you didn't have much investment in the first game to begin with. Then got your panties in a bunch, because the director of the sequel dare to be a gay man, and the voice actor of the new protag, Atsu, having left wing politics. Even though most voice actors working in this industry (or in the anime and animation) have left wing politics. Someone is projecting more than they realize, and has 0 fucking room to talk.
