I got banned from the Marvel Comics Forum for writing exactly this:

Spider-Man, Mephisto...Wha???

I then asked them if I needed to send a copy of my F.O.O.M. (Friends Of Old Marvel) card and a copy of my No-Prize envelope to get back in (I knew it wouldn't help). The Mod asked me what that would prove and I said it would prove that I've been a fan of Marvel longer than the latest dickweed in cheif, Joe Quesada and his Butt Boy, Brian Michael Bendis have been there screwing it up. Needless to say I was never allowed back.
Although, to be fair, that would be like posting "Mario, in space, wut?" in the Mario Galaxy 2 review thread.

On topic, I don't honestly recall the last time I got banned. Sure, I got kicked from a L4D2 game for connecting and promtly falling off the ledge I was standing on.
I could see it if it was just in a random post about One More Day, but this was before it actually happened and was a preview image including them. Mephisto hadn't been in Spider-Man since the Acts of Vengeance storyline I believe (about 15 years earlier), so seeing him in a Spidey book didn't make sense, so it was a surprised "Wha?" (not that the appearance made any sense anyway after the storyline).

Punching a whale would be pretty silly.

But once upon a time I knew this guy for about 5 years. He stole from my house behind my back. years later on he challanged me and a friend to a game of tf2 after he moved away because he was so full of himself.

Needless to say, We beat him in his own game in his own server. He then proceeded to crash the server with hundreds of sentries blowing up at the same time. Then banned me.

I got banned for killing a Heavy as a spy...

The Heavy happened to be one of the admins that loved to ban people for no damn reason at all. All because I backstabbed him and he called hax.

>_<

I've been banned a lot before for announcing I was a girl on microphone. :x

It was...weird.
oh wow sorry :S

I'm guessing they just think that you're going to be a noob... just don't tell them until after a few rounds, k? ;)
I just started not announcing it at all for awhile, and just playing. xD
So if you were dating a guy you could point out hot women and talk about them? For some reason that idea appeals to me greatly...

I guess so, no idea what it was when I joined. I quickly learned that gore and violence was ok, "slandering" their god was not.

As someone who doesn't really game on the computer much (Outside of the occasional sale on Steam.) I once got banned from a game of Halo 3 because someone decided to jump in front of my Spartan Lazer Shot when I was trying to stop the vehicle carrying the flag.

The guy then sent me a message calling me a team killing douche....I recorded the game and sent it to him to show that he was the moron who couldn't watch where he was going.

"Hey guys, I'm just letting you know I'm a girl, ok?"
"What?"
"I'm a girl."

Hell, I'd ban you too. What's the relevance? It's like the annoying stereotype of 'gamer girls' (different to girls who game) who tell everyone they're a girl for NO DAMN REASON.

OT: Got banned from a Warcraft 3 game because I absolutely owned the host, who tried to rush me. We were playing WW2 Pacific Islands, and he attacked me early on with a small ground force to kill me and steal my gold mines. I rolled his ass with my tank army, and then bombed him into dust with my planes. He then told me to stop, and when I didn't, he kicked me and banned my username. So I made a new account and did not stop killing him.

I'd have to say that whenever I play Combat Arms I feel the epitome of a candidate for posting in this thread. Anybody else who's ever played it probably knows what I mean when I say that the reasons given for kicking somebody are either unoriginal or inane.

The game's community thrives on what I like to call 'QQ Tourettes' - a disorder causing you to cry hacker at anybody and everybody who dares kill you.

Now, there are two systems of kicking available, the voting system that's been around forever and the 'Elite' system, where one player takes absolute control over whether or not you stay in the game. You don't even get warning for this, you're just suddenly not in game anymore and have to wait for the game to end to ask the guy why they kicked you.

Let me now list the reasons I remember:

- For camping. Not too strange, it happens to all of us. But lets remember I was camping behind the spawn with only a sniper rifle. If you can't kill me when you have three seconds of invincibility and I have nothing but a distance weapon, not to mention no cover whatsoever, I'm not the one with the problem. You're retarded, your team is retarded, noone should give you absolute power over anything more than directing snail-based traffic.

- For having the word 'Panda' in my username. Yep, that really happened. Apparently the word 'Panda' is more offensive than the countless references to the grandeur of people's junk. Also, I was called 'Pandora' once by what I assume was an avid Skins fan who had forgotten about the whole "The animal was here first, not to mention the first woman and her jar thing on the other end of the spectrum you dolt" thing.

- For taking cover. Oh no, I put something between me and your bullets? Holy crap, we can't allow that!

- For being kicked. Yup. Someone initiates a vote-kick with your name on it, people just instinctively press F5. Boom, banned from that game because I was.

That's just a few, but if it's inanity you're after, play the game yourself and then shortly thereafter an hero because... well... you'll probably get kicked because your desk is cedar instead of pine or something else like that.

See this is why I have always steered clear of online gaming - because it's full of TWATS!

I suffer fools, like you all have been describing, very badly indeed and would REALLY give them a reason to ban me if they pulled any of that shit. It's bad enough when airsofting and some git doesn't take their hits but, from what I can gather, online gaming is the domain of the uber-nerd who's only claim to being well-balanced is the fact they have equally big chips on both shoulders!

Thankfully I've not really fallen foul of overzealous mods or the folk who run combat games and get all pissy when someone kills them. I DO however like playing against people who are sat next to me with the other controller(s) in hand. If A kills B, B calls A a "bastard" but does so with a smile on his/her face and laughs. A may also laugh, although it's more of a "Muh-hah-haaaah!" kinda laugh.

I think the closest I got was being "disinvited" from a D+D session. I'd only gone along because someone begged me to "accompany" him to the session because he was relatively new and didn't want to be "picked on" by the experienced brigade. Surely not? Surely the brilliant unwashed masters of nerdism wouldn't pick on a noob?

Anyway they were all taking it WAYYYY to seriously. By that I mean, despite it being in someone's front room, most of them were in COSTUME! Anyway, because they were getting just a little bit TOO into it, I couldn't help but start playing the joker. Hell it was all in character, my character just so happened to be a bit of a lad, that's all.

Anyway I was SOOOO gutted when my friend was told not to bring me again.

To them it was some sort of blasphemy.

Last one was my bad.
Funny you say that. I got kicked out of one for singing "Rasputin".

OT: Best reason for being banned was during an online Age of Empires II match, where the host's single rule was "No rushing until twenty minutes have passed." Fair enough; I started to get my army together.

Ten minutes in he comes and attacks me with a decent-size army, that gets taken out mainly from the watchtowers I placed.

Was brought back to the online menu.

I got kicked from a TF2 server along with the entire team for winning. The whiny bastards didnt want to have to wait to build up and ubercharge or two so they just kicked us all. Poor poor effort on their behalf.

No, seriously? Banned for telling a lame joke? o_O
Yeah

iirc the thread was about telling knock knock jokes, and my answer was.

"Knock knock.

Who's there?

I don't know."

Then banned.
Duuuuuuude. That joke sucked so bad that you deserved the ban
I literally meant I don't know.

As in I don't know any knock knock jokes @.@

I was perma-banned from the official Gears 2 forums for "Trolling". Apparently pointing out a laggy game is laggy is trolling now.
