It seems to of gone unnoticed and i watched a couple of trailers and read previews and it seemed quite interesting. It come out here today in Britain (probably Europe too) and was wondering if anybody bought it and what they think of it.

I've gotten fairly far in it and it's a lot like Bioshock... only this is good.

Although I have found a game breaking bug which forced me to use a trainer, and there's some low-resolution texture bugs here and there but nothing besides this.

Well i quite like BioShock, i was quite interested in this game but i was pondering of whether to get this or the new Transformers game, or something else... i'l probably wait till it's dropped in price.

Hmmm, so it's an RPG/FPS? Would you say the rpg elements are more or less complex than Bioshock's? This game has me intrigued now.

I've been waiting for this, too. I'm going to the bank soon to withdraw money for it, and buying it when it comes out, hopefully. I remember reading about this in GI when it was first announced, and it looked VERY cool. Hell, what other game lets you theoretically turn enemies to dust and collapse an entire building on them?

You should get Singularity, the new Transformers game is better than the movie tie-ins before it, but still nothing "great".

They are surprisingly alike, there aren't really any major differences now that I think about, so it's fairly even.

You should, but don't go into it expecting a straight-up shoot fest, there are plenty of parts where you're just being stalked by monsters, which are quite unnerving.

good, i was worried it would be a shooter with the occasional QTE as using your time powers, with the rare drop crate on enemies thing

how interactive is the world when it comes to time powers

I got it a few days ago... I guess the store must have started flogging it before the official release date.

Anyway, it's the best FPS I've played in quite a while. It has excellent atmosphere, solid gameplay and the choice you're forced to make at the end was a pretty neat twist.

I'd say it's on a par with Bioshock and miles better than the abortion that was Bioshock 2.

On the downside; the game bugged out a few times and forced me to reload a checkpoint to progress -> at one point the floor disappeared and I fell through the map into infinity but I sat for about 5 minutes staring at the screen because I thought it was a time-anomaly thing and maybe supposed to happen. Then I realised 'nope, just a bug'.

I thought it got cancelled, but apparently not. Saw it in Gamestop a few days back, then investigated.

It actually looks pretty good.

There aren't any QTE events, per-se but there are some sequences where you have to react quickly.

And the world is fairly interactive, you can age an enemy's cover, making it disappear or crumble to dust, or grab something explosive to throw at them. There are also some short branching paths but nothing more than an audio-log (which are good at setting the mood for the area you're in) or some resources.

it sounds more and more intriguing
but how long is it? metro 2033 was realy good, but was just too short to compensate for the slightly fidely controls. by the time youve got used to it, it was nearly over.
so hours-wise, could you give a guess as to how long the game is?

I'm not sure, I haven't completed it yet, but I'm about 10 hours in and there isn't an end in sight.

But there's a multiplayer component as well, but I haven't tried that yet.

Raven used to be. They've made some really fantastic games. Recently, though, they've fallen short of their former glory.

beat mod war2 then!
i dont have high hopes for mp, as they will have to remove most elements to make it accessible for multiple people. how snipe happy would it be if you could just sit in a dark corner hitting people miles away with that bullet control thing?
if it has a really well designed mp, with progression and stuff, it might be woth a few hours, but this is a game for the single player!
got any ideas of what yahtzee might say? provided he reviews this, he might go for another E3 thing

He'll probably praise the 'time-control' but end up criticising it for not being more applicable in gameplay and then, if the past is anything to go on, a dick joke to wrap it up.
