I swear to God, sir Patrick Stewart could read aloud the ingredient list off the back of a bottle of ketchup and I'd be captivated.

Great clip! I'm surprised he hasn't even tried twittering, I think he'd like it. I have a twitter feed on my digsby account and it lets me see at a glance what people I'm interested in are doing at the moment. Sometimes the complexity of life can only be seen by the connection of its most simple pieces.

The man has definitely earned his knighthood. I have much respect for the man. He adapts to the times so well.

Someone needs to make a movie with Morgan Freeman and Sir Patrick Stewart just talking to each other. It could be about anything- weather, sports, page 156 of the Greater Duluth Yellow Pages. Peoples' heads would explode from the sheer awesomeness.

That is AWESOME!

Patrick Stewart is like a deity of our modern age. A muse for use to be inspired by. A type of Roman God in stature and sophistication. And he's a gamer.

People, we have found our new leader!

the man is awesome and when time rears its ugly head and takes him from us, I will mourn for a year and a day.

Sir Patrick Stewart is indeed an eloquent man. I would love to be able to see him perform Shakespeare.

Completely unrelated, but an awesome picture nonetheless.

Wow, that's actually how he talks? I always thought people only talked like that in movies, but every word he says seems to have as much impact and emphasis as if he was pumping it full of drama whilst reading from a script. I also love his relationship with games, I know I feel that way some time; there are several games that tempt me into buying them, but I know the at first taste they will be my downfall. It's stressful enough being so far under the spell of the current games I own; it's all I can do to focus on real-world things at times, like studying and, er, sleeping.

I don't think I can take much more of this.

If that man somehow gets any more badass, I think my skull would implode upon reading his name.

I always liked the fact that Patrick Stewart is not someone who takes himself too seriously, and anybody can easily see that through watching the roles he voices on American Dad, or the time he played "himself" on that Family Guy episode with the rest of the TNG cast where he alternates between demonizing Wil Wheaton and acting like an immature high schooler, made more hilarious by the enthusiasm he has for saying said ridiculous stuff.

So the fact that he's a very tech-oriented person and would be a gamer if not for the fact he'd never be able to get up off the couch again if he started doesn't really surprise me all too much.

Now if there was only some way to get Sir Patrick Stewart to tell Michael Atkinson to, eloquently, stop being such a douchebag.

"I have a stack of games I've never taken the covers off of, because I know that if I do...I'm finished."

(Evil laugh) Join us, Picard. Resistance is futile.

god help the gaming industry if he ever decides to make one of his own...with his ability and knowledge of acting, his experience and his nerd cred, even if the game was junk it'd sell out.
