Someone needs to appeal to his artistic sense. I say we send him Shadow of the Colossus and Portal.

My bet is he was given copies of the games he did voice work for, and the devs likely chucked in a couple of their other games for free as well, I'm rather tickled that while he doesn't play them he admits it's not because he's not interested, but rather he fears getting addicted :D

Patrick Stewart is at the top of the list of people who, if I ever wrote an autobiographical narrative of my life, I'd want reading the audio book.

(the rest of the list includes Morgan Freeman, James Earl Jones, Dennis Haysbert, Wes Johnson, and---just because his accent would make my stuff funnier---Teddy Atlas from Friday Night Fights.)

Hmm, Patrick Stewart, I wanna hug him forever... I mean, give him a firm manly handshake. Seriously though, that guy is great, and not just for playing Picard in TNG too.

"The smooth Shakespearean style"????

The man's just speaking English, albeit buttering it up and smothering it in the sweet honey of eloquence and the deep-timbred resonance of something very echo-ey indeed. Maybe a coalmine.

Incidentally, he's famously bad at remembering lines. So no wonder he's learnt to find them on the internet :)

And not to mention, Kojima wants him for the New Castlevania. I can only imagine him giving the voice for Dracula. Brrrrrrrr. Wicked.

Funny you should mention that. I checked-out his IMBD [http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001772/] page when I saw this article and was amazed when I noticed that he was listed for just that title. Apparently he's listed as playing some character named "Zobek", though I guess I can't say how accurate that is. Still, Patrick Steward being mixed with a classic series was a winning formula for X-Men (regardless of whether you liked the movies or not, he was great as Charles), so he should be great in Castlevania.

He has been involved in trying to get Transmetropolitan made even though he knows he's too old to play Spider Jerusalem and he's known for standing up in restaurants an reciting parts of it to friends although I secretly hope if they ever make Preacher he would be interested in playing Starr
To be fair, we don't quite know how old Spider is.

(Though Tim Roth would also be a good live action Spider)

Seriously...
Why have Sir Patrick Stewart reduced to a mute vegetable?
There's the phenomenal psychic powers, but we know he's already got them.

Don't worry about him, feel pity for Raul Julia, a great actor who did a lot of classic plays on stage, and his last piece of work was as M. Bison in 'StreetFighter' with Van Damme.

Not comparing the two actors, but damn, to go out with Streetfighter as your last work...damn.

Except Julia absolutely fucking nailed the role. If there was some kind of Oscar for "Best Performance in a Wretchedly Written Role", he'd have been a shoo-in.

Yeah, without wishing to further derail this thread from Stewart, I think it shows true professionalism and a real love of acting to throw himself so wholeheartedly into a role, when he must have had a clue that this wasn't the next Citizen Kane he was in.

He truly became Bison, which is more impressive considering that Bison isn't exactly flowing with deep layers of character. Turned him into a very human tyrant.

If only there had been a few more actors like him in it, a good script, a decent budget, and a dozen other things done right, Streetfighter could have been great.
