Let's compare then, shall we? Like appropriate gentlemen!

Modern Warfare 3

- Short, yet possibly detailed campaign that will only run around five hours on the most challenging difficulty
- Most attention in development is focused towards online multilayer and social interaction
- Fees for premium features
- Same rehashed, overused concept that only remains leached due to its impulsive popularity(Deal with it)

The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim

- Trailers depict an impressive and aw-shocking new engine that will render the most beautiful and detailed environments to date, right next to the original Crysis, not to mention impressive and improved animations
- Inside viewers and developers have proclaimed the game to be expansive in terms of exploration, gameplay, and questing
- The introduction of non-scripted major fights
- IT'S FUCKING SKYRIM
This...and that's all I can really think of. SKYRIM, BABY!

Definitely Skyrim. It's actually trying to fix the few flaws and fine-tune the gameplay, where-as Modern Warfare 3 will probably be a recycled piece of garbage...

Edit: I don't know how I'm going to pay for all this...
Mass Effect 3
Arkham City
The Darkness 2
The Old Republic (hopefully... Why no release date Bioware!?)
Skyrim

I NEED MORE MONEY!!!!

If Skyrim isn't shit, then I'll go for that.

Otherwise, I'll just save my money. No more Call of Duty for this guy (at least, none that I purchase. My brother enjoys them.).

Uhhh.... Skyrim?

mw3 just looks like more of mw2... no change in graphics or even the soundtrack... I think they got a bit ahead of themselves...

I watched the demo's from E3 from most of the top games that are going to come out and MW3 looked like MW2 with some weapon attachments/improvements.

Come to think of it,Skyrim is pretty much Oblivion with better graphics and some extras as well.

Conclusion: I don't know if I'm gonna buy Skyrim yet.Mass Effect 3 is a definite though.

Not even gonna bother with MW3. Don't like the company, don't like the "story" they make. Multi-player is probably not going to change, it didn't change much from MW1 to MW2.

To be honest I completely forgot about MW3, thats how much I care about it.

Skyrim, lots of improvements... DUAL WIELDING SWORDS OR SPELLS. Yeah. Skyrim. Oh yeah.

Watching the Modern Warfare 3 trailer I realized it was the exact same game as Modern Warfare 2, they didn't even bother changing the HUD around. Just simple things like a different style HUD, and changing the pick up icons for weapons goes a long way towards making a game actually feel new.

So no it most definitely won't be Modern Warfare 3 for me.

Skyrim looks like a series that is actually making progress. And damn good progress too. Now I can finally make my Kajit ninja class with two swords without mods :D

Also first post :)

I've told my girlfriend not to get my a birthday present, but get me Skyrim when it comes out. (My birthday is on the 9th of October). I naturally refuse to buy any Call of Duty game because they've reduced the quality of single-person play on games, because they had such a great success with Modern Warfare 1 that they leech off that like a chav leeches Jobseekers Allowance(bit o' britishness there). And thanks to that, every person in my school who spends 14 hours a day playing call of duty has now classified themselves as a gamer.

Prime Example;
Me - "So do you play games?"
Some douchebag from my Computer class "Yeah man, I'm a massive gamer!"
Me - "Ahh nice!! have you picked up the new Fallout game yet? Fallout: New Vegas?"
Douchebag - "NAH! those games are for homos, It's all about CoD!"

I'm buying two games this holiday season: Skyrim and Mass Effect 3 (Motherfucking ROBOT DOG EDITION).

I'm not sure about Revelations, I WILL buy it eventually, but it's not a priority. Everything else can fuck right off... except the Halo Anniversary, if it's reasonably priced, unlike ODST.

Modern Warfare 3. Didn't play Skyrim before, sadly.
I don't mean to sound like a dick or anything but... /facepalm

The series isn't called Skyrim... It's called The Elder Scrolls...
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (The V stands for 5 if you couldn't figure that out.)

Neither. Skyrim, as a single player game, will drop like a stone in price. It'll at least be down to 35-45 after a month. Meanwhile, MW3 will stay expensive for an eternity.

So I'll probably be getting Skyrim first, but at least a month after its release.
