Bah, I'm not even gonna bother with MW3. I'll hire it at best.

Yup, I've got my sights firmly set on Skyrim and I've never been so positive that a game will deliver.
My girlfriend and I have already decided, we're both gonna pre-order the game, pick it up on the day it's released, then go home and play it separately for the week, meet up, and tell our own tales of wonder and adventure.
It's gonna be awesome.
What a delightful idea, my wife and I might have to steal this idea from you good sir.

OT: Skyrim most definitely. CoD, while fun in brief increments, does not deserve a day one purchase - although I do like that they are bringing back that co-op mode, considering that was all I played anyway. But it certainly can wait until I can buy it used, for 15 dollars.
Have it man, the idea is now yours. XD

As for what you said, I just hope if anything, that MW3 brings back the persistent splitscreen multiplayer profiles from MW2. That said, I'm just gonna buy a used copy of MW2 to play with my mates.

Buy Skyrim, Skip MW3

I'll probably borrow MW3 from a friend or something, but I will not let Activision eat any more of my money.

Sequel to my favorite game of all time or another generic installment who's void will easily be filled an exceeded by Battlefield 3......?
This is gonna be a tough one.

Man there is a ridiculous amount of stuff coming out this November, funny, considering how many games seemed to opt to not run against CoD last year.

OT: Disregard MW3, acquire Skyrim.

Modern Warfare has my vote here, as I do not enjoy the Elderscrolls series, and I actually like Call of Duty, at least the Modern Warfare version, not the Black Ops or World at War stuff. I only like the modernized version, and while the story isn't as amazing as 4's was, I still want a conclusion to it, and I kind of miss breaking my controller in frustration at online play (not being sarcastic, I have no idea why, maybe it was funny to me afterwards as a story to tell my friends?).

Why should I care about either? A copypasta sequel of the most overhyped FPS series, or a copypasta sequel of an incredibly buggy and overhyped series?

Oblivion (and later Fallout 3) crashed constantly to being nearly unplayable, and Call Of Duty 4 failed to impress me (and the multiplayer was strictly inferior to several shooters I've played before).

*Sigh*
Nevermind my jaded attitude.

Im far more interested in other games than these two...but between them I'd be more likely to read reviews first and then if anything buy Skyrim......maybe give MW3 a rent

My little brother insists to me that he's gonna get Skyrim, so I'l most likely get MW3.

Unless I end up getting completely exhausted of Modern Warfare 3 I'll most likely play that more simply because of it's multiplayer.

In terms of value per hour, most likely Skyrim.

Not buying MW3. Probably will play it just so I understand what those cool cats on the interwebs are talking about.

Skyrim looks epic. Really liked Oblivion and Morrowind and can't wait for a new version. Should tie me over till ME3 (insert very manly fangirl squeal)

Neither. Like Oblivion, Fallout 3 and New Vegas i'm sure Skyrim needs few dozen mods until its playable.

MW3's purchase hinges entirely on how many of my friends are deciding to get it, and how much income I have at the time. Skyrim is already pre-ordered in full.

Not even gonna bother with MW3. Don't like the company, don't like the "story" they make. Multi-player is probably not going to change, it didn't change much from MW1 to MW2.

To be honest I completely forgot about MW3, thats how much I care about it.

Skyrim, lots of improvements... DUAL WIELDING SWORDS OR SPELLS. Yeah. Skyrim. Oh yeah.
Quoted for truth.
I'm very excited with the changes they've made to Elder Scrolls since Oblivion. The combat system looks damn good and the animation is fantastic. It even looks playable in 3rd person mode for a change.

Among the people I know, I'm some kind of weird mutant though, as everyone seem to be going on about MW3 or Battlefield 3 and honestly, I could not care less. I bought MW2 to see what all the fuss was about, didn't get in to it at all, single player is short and uninvolving, multiplayer didn't do anything that hasn't been done by games like counter-strike years previously.

Speaking as a fan of RGP, I find the current platforms lacking a decent number of RPGs and I have more than enough FPS.

tl;dr

SKYRIM!!!!

Skyrim, I can't wait! Screw MW3.

Sounds good to me, though tbh I'm pre-ordering neither. I'll give it a little while, let Skyrim's price die down and see what the hubbub is about and then I'll probably give it a go.

Not interested in Cod, and I'll pick up Skyrim in the first sale or the GOTY version. Bethesda games are seldom worth playing out of the box (almost wrote bugs there) because they tend to be unstable and unfinished, and they like to milk us with paid DLC that will be in GOTY/re-releases for free.
