Wow,I totally wasn't expecting nobody to pick MW3. So, MW3 for me! (At least over Skyrim, being much more of an FPS person over RPG's. If it gets shit reviews then probably won't bother.)

Why in the gods' names would I buy a freaking FPS with no story, emotional attachment, or creativity?

Not that I hate COD or anything... I never bought MW2. I avoid COD simply out of principle. Both MW games are on sale on Steam and they're still not cheap enough for me.

I just can't accept those games costing as much as they do.. especially since I will never touch the multiplayer.

Skyrim this year... MW3... maybe 5 years down the road when it's $10

I'm not even buying Modern Warfare 3.

Problem solved!
MW3 is just another shooter to me now, Call of Duty has lost the loyalty I once had for them. The Elder Scrolls have not, gunna be so much fun. :D

After reading all the negative comments, I'm curious to know whether or MW3 will be nearly as successful as the others. While I'm hoping it will be good, a little part of me hopes it loses a tonne of money, as payback for Activision being such mega douchebags.

Considering I play CoD more as a past-time and completely love the Elder Scrolls series for their asthetics and realistic games (well, realistic usually at the time of release) I'm going with Skyrim here, screw MW3.

By the way... You should really have a poll

EDIT: Heck, the only reason I even bought Modern Warfare 2 was because it was 10 bucks at a game store that way closing. *shrug* I got bored after the second CoD.

I like how Bethesda is giving the bird to the usual tuesday release dates and are doing it when they want.

Skyrim is being released on a friday. And isn't that Oblivion 5th anniversary edition coming this sunday?

EDIT: I read June and July wrong...sorry. But still. You get it.

Never even owned a CoD game before dont plan on it now. Skyrim is definantly the top of my list for games. Followed shortly by Battlefield 3, Batman Arkham City and Deus Ex.

I love CoD's campaigns. Always did, always will. They're always an adrenaline fueled rollercoaster ride, no matter how nonsenical the story is. MW3 will be no different.

However, Skyrim will offer me a lot more gameplay and a world I can truly get lost in. Maybe a decent story too. Not to mention epic dragon fights. Bye bye CoD!

Not interested in Cod, and I'll pick up Skyrim in the first sale or the GOTY version. Bethesda games are seldom worth playing out of the box (almost wrote bugs there) because they tend to be unstable and unfinished, and they like to milk us with paid DLC that will be in GOTY/re-releases for free.
Well, they did use a fairly shitty engine for their last few games. This time it's a new one, and I wonder what that'll mean for it's stability.

Only problem is the fact that it comes out on the day of my formal :S Meh hopefully they shall have a midnight release so I can get in a couple of hours of play before I go get wasted.

Skyrim! I am taking a break from the FPS genre for a bit. It's starting to get stale for me. Plus I need a nice long epic game to last me till Mass Effect 3 :)
Agreed, with the exception of Duke Nukem Forever, I'm taking a break from FPS games.

Just bored with them, its the same game over and over again.

Considering how I'm playing Oblivion right now, I think I'll go with Skyrim.

This is appropriate:

I couldn't give less of a shit about Modern Warfare, and I'm more hyped about Skyrim than I've been since Just Cause 2 (which lived up to its hype; I remain optimistic) so yeah, there really isn't even a choice there.
