After buying MW2, I realised that the series wasn't for me. The free Black-Ops weekend on Steam confirmed it. So, definitely Skyrim because I love Oblivion and it seems like they are cutting back on everything that held Oblivion back.

Let's compare then, shall we? Like appropriate gentlemen!

Modern Warfare 3

- Short, yet possibly detailed campaign that will only run around five hours on the most challenging difficulty
- Most attention in development is focused towards online multilayer and social interaction
- Fees for premium features
- Same rehashed, overused concept that only remains leached due to its impulsive popularity(Deal with it)

The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim

- Trailers depict an impressive and aw-shocking new engine that will render the most beautiful and detailed environments to date, right next to the original Crysis, not to mention impressive and improved animations
- Inside viewers and developers have proclaimed the game to be expansive in terms of exploration, gameplay, and questing
- The introduction of non-scripted major fights
- IT'S FUCKING SKYRIM
if i may add one more point for SKYRIM sir
- DRAGON(S)

Hmm let us see, 4 months of no school until Uni so what shall I pick? 5 hour long game with a repetitive multi player or a game that I may not even finish in 4 months? I think Skyrim wins hands down!

I'm not even buying Modern Warfare 3.

Problem solved!
^What he said. Might rent it for a singleplayer playthrough, but not interested in multiplayer at all so not wasting my money on it for sure.

I have no intrest in MW3. Never played any games in the series, nor do I want to. However, I have been ranting about Skyrim for a while now, so I really really want it. :D

Which of them are you going to buy? Are you going to play MW3 a lot more than Skyrim when it comes out?
How dare you even ask! I won't even notice what other games come out because I will be playing Skryim until my eyes fall out of their sockets, which is probably not a great thing considering Skyrim comes out in the middle of my VCE exams and I kind of like my eyes... oh well these things happen.

I'm going to buy Skyrim and watch my grades plummet. I'm pretty sure I put like 2 or 3 weeks of playing time into oblivion and I'm looking forward to doing so once again with Skyrim.

I'm not really a fan of C.O.D. anymore. The first 4 were alright, but the single player has gotten worse and worse in my opinion and I don't really like being screamed at by 12 year olds that think because they swear and play M rated games they are cool.

Ugh MW3... history repeats itself with COD. Every year they advertise with flashy campaign scenes and every year we get a campaign that's short as a midget. Yeah I'll buy it, when the price drops significantly.

A brand new TES game, or a mediocre shooter that is basically a copy/paste of it's previous 3 incarnations. How is that even a choice?

Skyrim, then BF3, then MW3.
I played the hell out of Oblivion, so I'm most looking forward to Skyrim. I always liked Battlefield, ever since 1942 and still play BF2 and BFP4F - it just suits my style of play much better than COD, I like to snipe, and COD absolutely sucks for sniping.
I'll wait on one of my brothers buying MW3 then borrow it.

What about formats though?

I kinda side with the PS3 these days over the 360, and I'm not 100% sure that my PC would handle any of those games. Maybe should consider upgrading before that fateful date.

Neither. I'm way more excited for Space Marine. I'm looking forward to carving people up online with a chainaxe, Khorne willing.

Probably not getting either on re;ease day/week.
Skyrim because I'm not interested, and MW3 because I can wait until Christmas for it, then I don't have to spend my own money on a game that'll only disappoint me.
