Huh that's odd. Didn't see that coming. I've heard about a lot of piracy and hacking on consoles (just search any console game title and the word "mod" in to Youtube) but they are almost always kept offline, so it's not really so much of a problem as far as I'm aware. But the problem still shouldn't be ignored.

In case you people think this is someting unusual... It isn't. In fact, quite a few games get leaked on the consoles before they get leaked on the PC, even if both versions were set to launch on the same day.

I took the time to check a few sites. There is indeed a few torrents claiming to be Skyrim, some of them from what the site reffers to as "Trusted" sources, which I suppose means they don't upload bullshit.

As for how easy console piracy is or isn't, consider this: A PC pirate has to deal with cracks of debatable quality and often jump through additional hoops to get a game to work (manually alter game files and such). A console pirate just gets his console modded and then every game works perfectly.

However, its not on PC. Only 360. I found this pretty funny, with developers arguing that PC pirates are the ones killing the industry and all that.
Console piracy doesn't exist! It is secure!

Perhaps between this, Duke Nukem Forever and Modern Warfare 3, publishers will finally pull their heads out of their asses and realise that piracy affects everyone, everywhere. For some reason, though, not indie developers or CD Projekt Red. Who don't put DRM in their games, thus attracting pirates like flies to a dish of honey...LOGIC BOMB

Seriously though, if you didn't keep treating your customers like crap, they wouldn't pirate your games.

I just bought a 14 month subscription so I don't plan on wasting my money by getting my console banned. I can wait 10 days for a game.
