Skyrim Oddities

Things I have experienced in Skyrim so far:

Killed 5 dragons now, and 2 skeletal dragons (skeletal wont give you souls)
Became Arch-Mage of the Mage College which gave me the old arch mages house and great mage gear
Found 3 power words randomly
Found 2 Dragons claw relics (golden and coral)
For some reason whenever the companion i had and I came across an Argonian, we would get attacked, and I couldn't kill them... two dualcast firebolts/icespikes/lightbolts to the face took him down each time and he just got back up ditched the companion and now they dont attack -_- wtf!
Completed the main quest only up to the point of becoming "Thane" so i could buy a house in Whiterun...
Explored to almost every corner of the map. (damn mage college quests!!! what a run!!)
Hardest Boss fought so far : Morokei (End of Mage College quests).
I like to shout randomly into the sky... and am currently searching for Frost and Storm Atronach books...



Currently lvl 16 @ 18 hours of play,
Magik = 340 (lots of MP + gear) haha!!
HP = 140
Stam = 120

How mad would you be if I told you that I can cast Master-level Destruction and Restoration spells for 0 Magicka? Because I can.

Assuming you're not on a PC and using console commands, then... HOW THE FUCK?!

Enchantment is the most broken thing in the game.

I matched most enemies I've encounterd quite well, but when I went up the mountain to High Hrothgar I came across a frost troll who kept killing me in 2 strikes....

Yeah, that Frost Troll was a total douche-nozzle. I found it difficult, and I was a Mage, with Fire magic, a Flame summon, destruction dual-casting AND a follower (Lydia, I believe).

I had an epic fight last night, against a Hagraven and two Frost Trolls, all simultaneously. It was on a high stone platform protrudung out the side of a cliff with a sacrifical altar in the middle. I was hammering the Hagraven with sneak arrow shots while hiding behind the altar, as my follower kept the trolls busy. The trolls beat her down and came after me just as I finished killing the hag and I only survived by using a dragon shout to first knock the trolls away from me, kiting them around the altar until the shout had recharged, then dragon shouting them off the edge where the long fall killed them.

5. Found the werewolf guys and am currently trying to get them to "bite" me...

It's been confirmed that you cannot contract lycanthropy in Skyrim.EDIT: NVM I guess that bethesda guy was dicking around. Vampire aids(can't remember what they call it lol) is still available as well.

Vampire disease is called "Porphyric Hemophilia"

hemo means blood,

philia means love,

it's a genetic/virus induced love of blood. aka: vampirism

Ah, ok then. I got a few CTD's and they where fixed after i changed this. Also i
Did you set your own advanced videosettings in the launcher? try resetting them to one of the presets: low, medium, high or ultra.
Rumor has it something can go wrong when you set your own. i noticed my videosettings got reset after a CTD when i had my own prefs in it.
Now im running at 'ultra' which isnt the perfect setting (sometimes choppy in crowded interiors) but i havent gotten a CTD since (fingers crossed)

I will give that a go. I guess I will just have to put it on Ultra until they fix this problem. Thanks.

EDIT: It didnt work. If anything it just made the game lag more and then crash. This is really starting to bug me.

allright, Ultra is apparantly too much for your PC, try high or make your custom settings again, since ive found something better: Im now running at my own prefered videosettings, the trick is to circumvent Steam, which can be done by executing your 'TESV.exe' (not the launcher) as administrator.
tested it out today and last night havent had a crash in about 10 hours of playtime
warning: You wont get Steam achievements if you play like this.
