Thank you very much. It seems you're one of the few people who realized I was just ranting and not being serious. :)

First off, please don't adress me so ambiguously. I'm not a dude, I'm a girl. I am not mad at you for that, however. I'm merely stating it for future reference. And also, how exactly is my grammer not very good? No, I'm not a college graduate majoring in the English language, but my grammar is, as far as I know, perfect. Or at least close to perfect. I do tend to drag some sentences out a bit, but that's just the way I type. My brutallity stems from the fact that I would sell everything I own to get my hands on anything Elder Scrolls related. I could have been a lot meaner, but I used self-control. And to quote your response: "Chill out, dude, or your stay on this website won't last a lot longer..." Excuse me, but is that a threat? Am I expected to fear you and run away soiling myself and begging forgiveness? As Yahtzee said, HARDY HARDY HAR......
Sorry for stepping in, but I think he was mentioning that the moderators tend to paint the walls red with the blood of rage guys/girls with the banhammer. In other words, if you´re mean, you´ll get grounded. More of a warning than a threat. And you have to recognize that you were a little excessive to someone that was actually quite civil, no matter how bad his grammar might be.

Okay. It seems I did not type my last comment fast enough. I am trying to change the subject. I apologized, and added a friendly comment talking about the game, the reason we're all here. I am not overcompensating. I just get really mad when people say negative things about a game that I like. Maybe I was too mean. Oh well. We are all human. We do things we regret, then we forget about them. And I think we should all do the same.
She has seen the light! well done Killer and please do enjoy yourself on the escapist, its all water under the bridge now. (I do mean that, this forum has one of the best communities and its something to cherish :D)

And I also have to wait till christmas for my skyrim which I'm rather gutted about, Since I've done about 8 playthroughs on Oblivion (Logged about 193 hours on that game), the tension is killing me!

The only bad thing I've actually heard about this game is the interface but thats a small price to pay if it means non stop awesomeness, also being a werewolf, that will rock aswell.

I'm not the first to say it, but just because you don't like something, that doesn't make it overhyped.

Your opinion is not fact.

Personally, I think it is underhyped.
I have been hyping up for this game for half a year, and yet...
And yet it was better than I could imagine!
Spread the word, for it is finally upon us! The greatest RPG of our time.

Over hyped?

Not a chance....

If Skyrim was a woman i'd be leaving my wife and it would be having my babies.

If I was a woman i'd be having Skyrims babies.

I have no idea where these bugs are I keep hearing about, i've not encountered any.

Graphics look great on my PC, Controls are smooth enough and easy to use (I love you, favourites button), the UI is a lot better than Oblivions (only a compass on the screen so it's less intrusive as well), the quests are better (still some mundane ones but i've been going for over 30 hours on side quests alone i've barely scratched the main quest line).

I only have 2 issues 1 with the horses and 1 with crafting.

The horses just seem .... slower, to me. I think i'll have to mod myself in a new faster mount at some point.

The upgrades on weapons and gear don't make them look any better. They have the same look no matter if the are basic or exquisite ... makes no sense.

I dint like it... Dont get me worng i play it and found it decent but noffing special. Its overhyped in my opinon.

And before you sods out there start russing trypeing things like

''Dont juge the game before the 20 hour mark'' or somting like that its worth rembering that i can in 3 hours playing somting like Castlevaina OOC and enyoing my self vile i play skyrim for 3 hoursand found it lacking

Am i the only one who see that this game is burtalishly OverHyped?
.
Over Hyped? You've played it and you didn't like it. Products get Over Hyped when the developers depend on the first day launch and the name of title, before word gets out that it's a crap game. Like Kane and lynch.
Here? The overwhelming majority of the players love it. I love it. I want to be Skyrims' ***** if only I wasn't tied down to the real world.
...
Did I say it out loud?
OP should have said over-hyped with blind fans who would enjoy it regardless of quality.

The graphics are terrible. The controls are poor, the game is buggy and the levelling has been dumbed down a huge amount. And it still has less freedom then Morrowind. The game is completely over hyped because sites know that people would pre-order it regardless of quality.
I'd like to question, "The graphics are terrible." How?

Even on the lowest settings, it's one of the most breath-takingly gorgeous games I've ever seen, and I've played both Crysis games. I actually gasped the first time an aurora lit up the sky. Maybe the engine isn't too modern, but what does that matter? I think that Abe's Exoddus (released on the PS1 in 2000) is a lot prettier than Fallour 3, the brute force of the engine doesn't matter for anything.

I was barely hyped at all and yet here I am thinking it's by far the best open world RPG I've ever played. It's down to preference :p

I hope you are. Skyrim is amazing. I have been calling it as the game of the console generation for months, and with 15-20 hours of gameplay at least, I can say with firm confidence that it exceeded my expectations. 3 of my friends say the exact same thing. It also converted the only two of my friends who were not already TES fans, so I just don't see any way that you could say that it is overhyped.

It's done nothing but beaten my own hype for it so for me personally, no.

I mean this, spoiler, just happened to me and it was far more entertaining than anything I've experienced in Oblivion and I thought nothing would topple that game for me.
Entering a random drinking contest for a magical staff and waking up the other side of the country charged with a fine of 300gold for fondling a religious statue and selling a prize a goat to giants
i just started that quest like an hour ago! i would've thought a 6 foot nordic lump of muscle and dragon souls could hold his liquor... did sam roofie you?

OT: Personally, i find it to be wonderful. i actually feel more immersed because i'm not the 'one' person who can save the country. i'm just some dude who was really unlucky. and is also Dragonborn...

plus the new features make it a lot better (i think i spent 70% of today's gametime in a smithy, mine or wandering about Dawnstar transmuting).

Yay! Thanks, dude! Hang on a minute. Ahem. Must get out of my proffesional tone. AMEH...!

I know, right? The only valid arguments against Skyrim I've come across are about the menu system and interface and whatnot. But we must be patient. We will learn to love it in time. It's like a new cat. It may claw your face open, but that's just means it loves you. Or hates you...Or....SHUT UP!

What I can't understand is how people can complain about the graphics. They look AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are the best graphics I've ever seen in a game.

I am a PC gamer myself, and have not seen it played on any consoles. But even though it may be better, I will play it on PC since I'm getting a BRAND NEW COMPUTER!!!

What the fuck is a burtalishly? Seriously man, proofread your stuff.

Now, grammar-nazi OCd out of the way, no it's not overhyped at all.

It's early morning for me, so for my reason why it isn't, please see the first post on this thread.

Well yes, it was overhyped... but this one of those rare occasions where the game live up to that hype... I mean it has given the fans everything its promised... sure I didn't really like the amount I've gotten to play, but then I've never been a fan of the series...

20 hours?

Don't get me wrong the first 2 yeah ..follow the leader. But once you are free out there and have listened to what all is going on around. Then you should make your own fun, hey I don't force you to like it nobody can do that. I mean I wouldn't enjoy MW3 or Battlefield 3, why? I don't do shooters.

I personally like Skyrim, yes it has small flaws but I am willing to overlook those as so much more does works. And really that every moment a dragon could swoop in to ruin your day or make it awesome.. now that is just great. I like also how different each play seems to be even between times reloading [dragon killed me] Pre-reload I did meet someone who wanted to join the greycloaks. A few minutes later a few mistakes made with a dragon and I was dead. So I follow the same path after a reload and I don't meet this person instead I see a lone Orc. Oh yes a lone old Orc who wants to die fighting. You hear that good just an orc somewhere that asks you if you want to fight it. So it can die a glorious death!

That is Skyrim there is a certain unpredictability there!

By the way want to talk about overhyped, MW3, seriously .. that is allot of hot air. Allot of advertising allot of parties thrown. You know I saw the UK launch live event on youtube. MOST BORING live show ever... wow.. I thought I saw richard gere. Allot of people I am supposed to know that obviously never have played a shooter.

I think Skyrim is crap. I loved Fallout 3, and this is more or less the same engine and play style, but this fantasy crap just ruins the game for me. However, this game has more fanboys than Call of Duty, and they are far more rabid. I hope you donned a flame-resistant suit prior to writing your post.

Oh yes, because there were so many robberies and sales of over 1700 during the Skyrim release. I find your accusation and generalizations insulting! Insulting! /sarcsam

On topic. I can't really say too mucha bout Skyrim yet except its pretty and so far its fun, but I only got about 8 hours in before the weekend was taken up entirely by something.....else, yes, thats ambiguous enough.
