I think the imperial settled all over, probably left ruins across Tamriel.

Fanboy response. Oblivion was boring and stale and I don't see how Skyrim will be any better, nevermind "push the standard for RPGs for years to come". And yes, my biggest complaint is facial animations. Note that it isn't my ONLY one.

It's funny how the moment it was announced, people have jumped at it like it's gonna be the second coming of Christ without even seeing any of it. Very little in this preview gave me any indication of whether or not the game will be fun.

Though I didn't say I won't like it. I'm just cynical, mostly because I know the quality of Bethesda's products.

Not a fanboy just a fan of quality sandbox RPG's. If you didn't like Oblivion or other Bethesda RPG's that fine, but you can't claim that it was a boring and stale game.

It's obvious that you just don't like Bethesda-style games, but then why not just say "I don't like Bethesday RPG's and I don't think Skyrim will change my opinion" rather than make a baseless attack against an unreleased game?

I fail to understand how you "don't see how Skyrim will be any a better" when my previous post clearly outlines the major issues with previous TES titles and how Skyrim is attempting to fix them.

Oh, and as much as you might disagree, Morrowind and Oblivion ARE objectively good games and HAVE been consistently at the top of the sandbox RPG list. They might be terrible games FOR YOU, but that doesn't really change anything; entertainment VALUE might be subjective but entertainment QUALITY absolutely is not.

Meh, I'm still not jumping on the hype bandwagon. Oblivion also promised loads of cool stuff, looked unbelivable, but, IMO, all we got was a watered down action game that barely represented an RPG. It's going to take more than a few videos and promises to get me excited for this one.

TBF, it was released in what, 2006?

They must have been working on it since 2004, back when PS2 was king. Unlike now, where they have a large technological advancement over its preprocessor. I doubt this is going to be another Fable 2

Well, from an in-universe perspective, it's an Imperial fort, made using Imperial construction methods and in the Imperial style. Just like the ones from Cyrodil.

Man with you going to an execution in this one, he'd have had to piss on something really important, like the Emperor's tome or something. Which would be epic in its own respect.

Yup, I said I was gonna stop reading Skyrim previews 'cos it just makes November feel so much further away. I'm actually gonna do that now.

Also, I can't wait until this time next week, when I should be able to afford to renew my PubClub membership... forgot how annoying it was to have reviews and articles spread over two or three pages.

You say that as if it's not TOTALLY AWESOME.

Now I want to roll a Redguard and kit him out with full plate and double tower shields. My character will be a walking fortress.
