Skyrim sounds as awesome as I imagined it would be from all those years playing the other Elder Scrolls games.

This will likely be the last thing I read about the game to ensure that nothing is ruined for me. It is the only game I have ever pre-ordered (and one of the few that I've payed retail price for) and after playing it, my life will likely be complete.

I do hope it doesn't have unreasonably high system requirements, but from what I read about the graphics, that might not happen...

BAHHH I CAN'T FUCKING WAIT BAHHH

So... will the Khajiit & Argonians still have the lame, streamlined legs of Oblivion?

Or the fancy backward knee-legs of Morrowind?

A small gripe of mine, but it's still on my list of "Why Morrowind is better"... not sure why I bring it up now...

This game sounds awesome. Then again, The Elder Scrolls is my favorite game series and Bethesda one of my favorite developers. I think this game will live up to, if not surpass, what we think of it.
With that said, I think I'll need to see a lot of what was in this article myself to believe it.

" took thirteen pages of notes during last week's two hour Skyim demo"

Obviously all of those notes didn't include the name of the game...

haha...im kidding...good summary

hopefully the game will come through on all the great things without drowning in bugs

And once again, a TES game becomes the driving force behind my next PC build. Thank you, federal income tax return...

EDIT: Also, I am strongly considering playing a Khajiit for the first time. That pic is pure 100% unadulterated bad ass.

EDIT the EDIT: Another thing... did anyone else notice that the orc is blind in one eye? Without mods?

They better release a set of minimum and recommended PC specs soon, so all of us can start saving up. My laptop is likely to burn itself into a crisp playing this.

that looks more like a bad ass tiger person then a kitty cat person like in the other game
I quite agree! :D I like the look of things thus far

It really sounds like it's shaping up to be quite a gaming experience!

just sounds like a hype-building article.... well oblivion actually lived up to the hype for me; different than morrowind, but awesome in its own right, so MAYBE skyrim will be the same, but i wont count on lighting striking twice.

the 'dynamic' leveling really has me worried; oblivion was more than dynamic enough, and understood that even in sandboxes you need some type of leveling framework; skyrim is sounding more and more like the failure of a leveling system that is the fable games, advancing you however the game damn well pleases because you fight nothing but zombies for 2 hours and melee is monumentally better than any other attack option. what they want to do seems to be impossible; most players (well i do...) already know what kind of general character they want from the get go; if you need hours of gametime to decide what 'class' you want, either that will just highlight the imbalance between playstyles and players will end up using one style not because they like it but because its the most useful for whatever limited situations theyve been in, or the game is so balanced that they remain indecisive forever, falling into the same trap all 'dynamic' leveling systems do anyway: leveling as the gameplay demands, not as the player wants.

Could I be any more excited for this game? I didn't even know I could be this hyped, but damn it, Steve Butts, you just pushed me into squealy fangirl overdrive! I feel like I'm going to turn into Eric Cartman waiting outside the store in the cold months before it even comes out.

so the "way of the voice" or whatever is an ancient nord secret,
and the Septims were of dragonblood, and they were imperials,
and where does that leave the other races?

another thing, they say it's a classless game,
i sure hope that means that races won't have racial bonuses, you know what i mean?

This game.... I'm at a loss as for what to say. I only pray it turns out to be as stunning as I'm expecting.
Watch you will bend to my will and speed up time!

You mean the Argonians canonically loose the ability to breathe underwater and immunity to all poisons or the Orcs which are an inherently larger species than the others posseses the same strength as a Wood Elf half its size contradicting the pre-established lore of the previous games?

Meh, I'm still not jumping on the hype bandwagon. Oblivion also promised loads of cool stuff, looked unbelivable, but, IMO, all we got was a watered down action game that barely represented an RPG. It's going to take more than a few videos and promises to get me excited for this one.
I have only this to say to you:
[HEADING=2]DRAGONS![/HEADING]

Otherwise, I'm super excited. Bloody thing is coming out two weeks before my exams, so I'll have to wait for it though :p

Even if the radiant system is a load of crap, I'm still pumped for this.

Looks awesome!

Also: Whenever I play an Elder Scrolls game, I like to imagine that all my new characters have been imprisoned for public urination.
Man with you going to an execution in this one, he'd have had to piss on something really important, like the Emperor's tome or something. Which would be epic in its own respect.
That gives me the mental image of the Emperor sitting around just reading a book, then a drunk guy suddenly coming along and pissing on to the open pages.

I just have to find an excuse for my Morrowind Crimelord character to be in Skyrim. Seems to be a long way away. He had an excuse to be in Cyrodiil; expanding (or repairing) his criminal empire.

But why Skyrim? What could be there for him?
One idea is having him captured at one point and officials just want him far, far away. So they send his ass all the way over there to get him executed. And my argonian being himself, escapes.

It's one idea.
Although, unless he's an Altmer/Dunmer (and for Dunmer it'd still be a stretch), he'll be long dead, since it's 200 years after Oblivion.

It will be interesting to play DAII and Skyrim the same year. Sounds like they are going to be very different experiences.
Too true. For example, Skyrim's going to be good.

I'm so looking forward to this. Even more than I have been for Portal 2 or The Witcher 2. Going by that description, though, I just hope the game doesn't assume you're going to be a generalist. I hope there will be particular benefits to specialising. Unlike in most RPGs, where I prefer to be a straight-up mage, in Elder Scrolls games I like to specialise hard in lockpicking, stealth and archery with a little healing magic on the side. I'd really like this to remain a viable playstyle in Skyrim.

Not an image board dude, put some thought in there. But on that note I already have my Witcher 2 Collector's Edition preordered, but none the less extremely excited for this game; you don't have to hate one and love the other
