So as some people on here may know (that is, my Twitter followers)
I didn't know this. But then again I don't backtrack on Twitter.
You missed the convo we had on twitter and msn. And I missed you :(

Anywho, I say that you just talk to them, just you and your parents, no one else. Try and have a civilized talk, and try to avoid yelling of any kind. Tell them who you are. Hope that helped :)

Don't go out of your way to say it to them, but don't hide it either. Act how you want, it might even be a phase still. If not, go out with whatever gender you feel like and don't hide it from your parents. If you act normal about it then it'll make it a little harder for them to act strangely about it. If you burst into the room while they are having a pleasant conversation about the weather and hit them around the face with "I ARE BISEXUAL!" then they're bound to be shocked and less receptive.

I don't know your parents, however, so act how you think is best. This is just my opinion.

They will probly not mind you being Bi, especailly if they are decent parents. They will probly be happier that your Bi rather than gay, since they will see that a traditional married couple is not an impossibilty, thats if they are proper bible thumping christians. (ment in the best possible way)

It's your choice. Whatever.

If your parents don't like it, tell them to go get screwed... hard.

I have no problem with friends being bi and no one should have problems with you. Like I said, it's your choice and people should learn to respect.

Just tell them. Women being bi-sexual is a lot more accepted then men being bi-sexual, I find. Much more frequent too.

I'd tell, over the years you might end up with a messy web of semi-lies and unspoken truths, and then it will probably be even worse telling them.

Most people I know have been surprised with the level of acceptance shown by their parents in similair situations

Anyway, I'd sit down and discuss it with them over a cup of tea. Better that than, as New Troll said, turn up with a same sex partner at Christmas or something.
Duuuuuuude, I always remember when you talk about tea... maybe thats why it always seems like you talk about tea to me, but I gotta say... brilliant! XD

EDIT: Just some appreciation heading your way there, just ate a twister so I got alot of sugar going round the system.

My family are fundamentalist Christians, though not stereotypically so. There was a lot of anxiety and awkwardness on their part when I came out. They were upset by the prospect of me going to hell, that I would never be happy and have a normal life, etc. etc. They got over it, some parents never do. I am pro-coming out. I think it will be better for you in the long run, better for everyone really.

You might have a bit of extra trouble, being bi. They might think that, because you are capable of having "normal" relationships, you should just ignore any non-hetero feelings. You and I both know it doesn't work like that, but they might not.

Thank you so much for that really helpful comment...... ¬_¬

(Yeah, before anyone says it, I know I also derail topics/make inappropriate comments. But this was meant to be a serious thread seeking real advice.....)
