I live on campus at University, so I haven't really been disrupted that much by the snow.

The snow was not even that bad. It's the ice which will cause the problems. Pass the time by building a snow fortress around your house then invite your friends over. That's what I'd do.

OMG its snowing in England, its Global Cooling! The next Ice Age is upon us!

(Oh, and its not really snow, its ash from the alien space ship that The Doctor blew up)
You have no idea how many 'So much for global WARMING' facebook statuses I've seen. *sigh*

OT: I'm going sledging soon, it's my 6th day off school since it started snowing. I kind of want to go to school. But then again, I don't.

My teacher rang me up to give me work so I'm still learning.

I did nothing!

OT: It's snowing here in Scotland too you know. Not just England.
We have about 3/4 foot of snow in N/E Scotland and it's only halfway through the week!

There's snow around here, but it's much too cold to go outside. So I'm just staying in catching up on my gaming.

Yeah, it is really bad here. I'm in Sheffield. I don't think we have quite 3 ft here, but atleast 30cm. Most likely more. Busses have stopped, a lot of things shut etc. It's crazy. Admittedly we have got quite a lot, but you would have thought they'd be more prepared for this now.
I live up at the higher end of Barnsley (I think area I live it is the highest point) so we must have gathered quite a lot of snow. Its up to your knees in some places up here and at the worse parts its about waist deep... Given that I'm about 5'11-6ft, I'd say that's pretty deep. Adding to the fact that its still dropping heavily... Well.. Doesn't look good.

That being said... Snow always looks beautiful even if its causing a major annoyance.
Indeed. It looks nice until people start walking and attempt to drive through it atleast.

I live on the south east outskirts of the city, it is on a slight hill, but nothing extreme. I've actually stayed in today, so I'm not sure how high it comes up, there's a damn lot though. You can see it piled up on top of our connifers, walls, and shed in the garden. According to a friend who walked down to the corner shop, a lot of cars and lorries have just been left on the roads everywhere around the village. I'm wondering how much deeper it'll get, it's still snowing heavily here too.

I stay inside and either do computer/internet things or go on Assassin's Creed when my dad isn't playing Gran Turismo 4 through for the 50,000th time.
Because if I leave necessarily, I might slip on more ice and smash my elbow again. Okay, I didn't smash it, but it still hurt like a *****. Winter is a dangerous time for the clumsier humans.

In Shropshire it's just bad enough to piss you off, but not enough to get you a day off. Blast.

All the buildings I have to be in (The Chemistry building, Biomedical sciences and the med school) are all at the other side of the campus from where I live so I have to walk 30-40 minutes to get to lectures, but I don't really mind. The buses hasn't been cancelled in Nottingham, so there is really nothing thats stopping me from going where I need to go.

I remember last winter. We had 40 cm of snow and -28 degrees.

You have no right to complain. =P

I'm snowed in too, out in Warlingham, I can't get into London due to the buses round here not running or the trains, I doubt I'm going to get into University tomorrow. Usually when this happens I sit inside and play videogames. I would be out with friends, but none of them can get to where I am and I can't get to them.

The view from my window...

This snow is probably the worst we have had.
