I honestly didn't think it was humanely possible to make the intro sequence more awesome. Something about the chaos in the beginning just set the tone the shit has officially hit the fan. The message just didn't sink in deep enough in the original.
Wish I could find the video, but in HL1, the Black Ops had some supreme jiggle physics.Mr.Tea said:What did you have while you were playing HL1 and where can I get some?
I know, right?bigfatcarp93 said:Love it, love it, love it!
I mean, I've only completed three chapters, but WOW! That mod is atmospheric as hell! Like, in Half-Life, you just kind of plod through the trashed facility in Unforeseen Consequences, like "Huh, so yeah, this sucks." But now... I mean, you really start to feel sad and scared for all your fellow employees! Like, your really want to save them! Especially that woman in the elevator, and kudos to the voice actress, because that just hit me like a sack of bricks.
The atmosphere is really terrifying as well. The first time I heard a zombie breathing, I almost shit myself. I could gush about this thing for hours, and I've only played three chapters!

As someone who crouch jumps as a habit anyway in every Source game I think it would annoy me if it didn't use it.Kingjackl said:It's an awesome game, but I have to say the jump mechanics are really frustrating. Your basic jump has a max height of about 2 inches and is literally useless for climbing and platforming. To do that you have to use the crouch-jump which is really awkward and not very intuitive.
Anyone else having this problem? Just doing the first platforming section when you're hopping up the pipes was an exercise in pain.
