Most of those are cross platform. The 360 has far more exclusive RPGs, and with RPGs that actually matters, as opposed to shooters where it only matters if you have one.Daedalus1942 said:Not true. I'll grant there's quite a few good ones on the 360 (Project Sylpheed, Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, Last remnant, Fable one, but the PS3's got a fair few too.. just no-one's heard of them.migo said:Strange as it sounds, the 360 is the next gen console with all the JRPGs.
Enchanted Arms, Darksiders (Multiplatform), Star Ocean The last hope (Multiplatform), Demon's souls, Folklore, Cross Edge, White Knight Chronicles, Nier (Multiplatform), FFXIII (Multiplatform), Resonance of fate, 3D dot heroes, Disgaea 3 (that alone is worth it! There's more i'm forgetting, but there's quite a fair few.
You could Almost say Yakuza 3's an action rpg (almost).
-edit- Also, Eternal Sonata.
Don't mean to hijack this thread, but that is my new target for my games library. I'm about 2 thirds there, I just need some of the lesser known titles. Excellent post, sir.OceanRunner said:Same here. I've played the Dreamcast and GameCube versions.Lexodus said:How could I forget them? I'll second that one. Great game and not like anything like I ever played before.Juk3n said:Go get Valkyria Chronicles, see you in 3 days.

You didn't specify exclusives. I'm just saying there's no drought of RPG's on ps3.migo said:Most of those are cross platform. I didn't say the PS3 had none, I just said the 360 had all of them, which is pretty close to true. It's an exaggeration as a few are missing, but I'd have a rough guess that about 5 of them available on PS3 aren't available on 360 and about 20 available on 360 aren't available on PS3.Daedalus1942 said:You didn't specify exclusives. FF XIII (It's a good game! At least try it.) and Demon's Souls are both solid games, if you like RPGs.FargoDog said:Final Fantasy XIII. I'm going to get flamed for that but it's a genuinely great game in my opinion. It doesn't have a character creator, but it's a really good JRPG. Also, Demon's Souls if you don't mind getting your teeth kicked out by a brutal difficulty level.
You didn't list any though...migo said:I didn't say the PS3 had none, I just said the 360 had all of them, which is pretty close to true. Yeah, I can't remember what it was, but around 2008 the PS3 had exactly Zero RPGs and the Folklore Demo had been released while the 360 already had a bunch of RPGs. The 360 had a huge start, and they've still got momentum there, even though the PS3 now has enough RPGs to keep someone satisfied.IamSofaKingRaw said:You didn't list any though...migo said:I didn't say the PS3 had none, I just said the 360 had all of them, which is pretty close to true. Vyse and Aika need their own full length game.
I demand it!
