Lets see. If you're looking for PS3 originals then Infamous, LittleBigPlanet, and Heavy Rain are what's up. Other good games to try out are DRagon Age, Batman Arkam Asylum, Bioshock (I know you said you didn't like FPS' but I think you should give this one a try. I'm not the biggest FPS' fan and I really enjoyed it.)

All good suggestions. Also check out Folklore. There is a free demo in the PSN store.

Strange as it sounds, the 360 is the next gen console with all the JRPGs.
Not true. I'll grant there's quite a few good ones on the 360 (Project Sylpheed, Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, Last remnant, Fable one, but the PS3's got a fair few too.. just no-one's heard of them.

Enchanted Arms, Darksiders (Multiplatform), Star Ocean The last hope (Multiplatform), Demon's souls, Folklore, Cross Edge, White Knight Chronicles, Nier (Multiplatform), FFXIII (Multiplatform), Resonance of fate, 3D dot heroes, Disgaea 3 (that alone is worth it! There's more i'm forgetting, but there's quite a fair few.
You could Almost say Yakuza 3's an action rpg (almost).
-edit- Also, Eternal Sonata.
Most of those are cross platform. The 360 has far more exclusive RPGs, and with RPGs that actually matters, as opposed to shooters where it only matters if you have one.

Don't mean to hijack this thread, but that is my new target for my games library. I'm about 2 thirds there, I just need some of the lesser known titles. Excellent post, sir.

OT: It's all been said before me, but Uncharted, Infamous, Killzone, Demon's Souls...we tell you any more games you won't finish playing them in this lifetime...

Both Uncharted games are awesome, especially the second one. MGS4 is also good as long as you don't mind ridiculously long cutscenes.

Demon's Souls if you don't mind a game that's unforgivingly challenging.

uncharted 2 if you only can get one game get this one and make your parents watch you play. mine werent too fond of me playing video games in gereral till they saw that one for the first 10 mins they thought i was a movie till i paused the game and asked them what they needed:)
everything else id recomend is ether 18 or already mentioned.

edit BTW i like white kight its not as bad as everyone says well the voice acting is but i useualy just ignored that:)

God I loved that game.

Vyse and Aika need their own full length game.

I demand it!

I'll second that one. Great game and not like anything like I ever played before.

I recommend you try some of the demos for the psn games. The Pixel Junk games are great. I also got a big kick out of echocrome and the Last Guy. Zen pinball is a lot of fun too... If you like pinball.

I also had a lot of fun with Sacred 2. It?s a wrpg but you?ll probably dig it if you like those Diablo type games. One of the few games with the custom soundtrack option too.
Then next year, when you are of age, you need to get Fallout 3.

DEMON'S SOULS! (Say it in the dramatic trailer voice)
The Uncharteds
Siren Blood Curse
Resonance of Fate (the only good traditional JRPG out for the PS3 imo)
inFamous
The Darkness
Mirror's Edge
Heavy Rain (be warned, this has almost zero replay factor...which is why I rented it)
Killzone 2
Batman Arkham Asylum
Metal Gear Solid 4 (shitload of cutscenes though)

Aaaand, I'll prolly get shit thrown at me for mentioning it...but I do recommend the reboot Prince of Persia. I really liked it, and I've played all the other PoP games, so I'm not just saying it half-assed.

You didn't specify exclusives. I'm just saying there's no drought of RPG's on ps3.

I didn't say the PS3 had none, I just said the 360 had all of them, which is pretty close to true. It's an exaggeration as a few are missing, but I'd have a rough guess that about 5 of them available on PS3 aren't available on 360 and about 20 available on 360 aren't available on PS3.

Oh, no M rated games? Uncharted 2, inFamous, and LittleBigPlanet. I would have said Heavy Rain, but if your mom wasn't happy with Dead Space then no way she would let you have Heavy Rain (itz bcuz u can see BoObIeS!!!!!!1!! lolololol).

Final Fantasy XIII. I'm going to get flamed for that but it's a genuinely great game in my opinion. It doesn't have a character creator, but it's a really good JRPG. Also, Demon's Souls if you don't mind getting your teeth kicked out by a brutal difficulty level.
FF XIII (It's a good game! At least try it.) and Demon's Souls are both solid games, if you like RPGs.
Uncharted 1&2, Little Big Planet, MGS4 (I think that's rated M, but there's nothing to bad in it)
Those games should be a good start.

"Scott Pilgrim vs. the World Videogame" is an awesome 1-4 player co-op (No online Co-op though) for $9.99 that's wonderful blend of the Comicbook and Movie versions of Scott Pilgrim vs.the World.

Yeah, I can't remember what it was, but around 2008 the PS3 had exactly Zero RPGs and the Folklore Demo had been released while the 360 already had a bunch of RPGs. The 360 had a huge start, and they've still got momentum there, even though the PS3 now has enough RPGs to keep someone satisfied.

No 18s? This just turned difficult. :/
Batman AA/Infamous, if any, then... -- and Fallout 3.
