That's great.God said:So I got Diablo II thought I would tell the escapist about it the battle chest so I have the expansion and the strategy guide. Yeah tell me what you think.
I've got a few reasons.Hammeroj said:Good for you, OP.
I doubt you're in the minority. It's just that getting burned by something gets people more vocal than being content with it.fenrizz said:That's great.God said:So I got Diablo II thought I would tell the escapist about it the battle chest so I have the expansion and the strategy guide. I played Diablo 2 to death, eventually getting level 85 on my barbarian with a full IK set.
It burned me out pretty badly though, so I doubt I'll ever play it again.
I might be the minority here, but I think Diablo 3 is better.
Why do you think Diablo 3 is better? Don't worry, I can think of a myriad of shortcomings on the part of D2 (that's why I don't consider being better than D2 a particularly big achievement), just asking out of curiosity.
Mhmm, I agree with ya. Diablo 3 just feels a lot better to me, still can't bring myself to knock Diablo 2: LoD of the top spot for my favourite game of all time yet xD. Hopefully the expansion will provide that kick.fenrizz said:I might be the minority here, but I think Diablo 3 is better.
Oh god, they're still here. I thought that wagon had left by now.Jim_Callahan said:-Snip-
Does it need to though?black_knight1337 said:Good for you OP, it's a great game and I'm sure you're going to be getting plenty of great hours out of it.

Nope, there is no running in Diablo.Lovely Mixture said:I like it a lot from a gameplay perspective, but the story standpoint is kind of odd as most Blizzard games are. Considering how much backstory they put into their lore and yet how much of it is actually important to the game's plot.
For those that recommend Diablo I. Is there a way to run in the village? I tried it once a while ago, but that slow pace really bothered me.
I can see what you see not?
Vision milky, then eyes rot.
When you turn, they will be gone,
Whispering their hidden song.
Then you see what cannot be?
Shadows move where light should be.
Out of darkness, out of mind,
Cast down into the Halls of the Blind.

Patch 1.13 added respecialisation. Completing the Den of Evil quest on each difficulty gets you a respec and you can gain extra respecs by killing act bosses for specific items and combining them. It doesn't mean you can respec whenever you like but it does mean you can fix characters if you misspent a few skill/stat points.fenrizz said:. I can re-spec in D3, in D2 I had to start over again if I placed a point wrong.
That is a good idea. I'm playing TL2 now. I'd say there is no need to get TL1 at all, since 2 is just better in all regards. Also, 2 is really reminiscent of Diablo 2, so you'll probably feel right at home. I certainly did.Rose and Thorn said:I have been thinking about getting into the Torchlight series

It also lets you play without the CD.
Pretty sure that in "Options" somewhere there's a slider to adjust how fast you move while in Tristram, but I could be thinking of Diablo Hellfire there.Lovely Mixture said:For those that recommend Diablo I.
