And because guitars are more prominent in the band then NO BASS SOLOS EVER BECAUSE GUITARS ARE MORE DISTINCTIVE AND PEOPLE RECOGNIZE THEM MORE SO THE BASS MATTLE IS STUPID BECAUSE IT'S NOT ON GUITAR.

THIS CRAP COS IT'S NOT ON GUITAR!

HE SHOULD BE PLAYING GUITAR INSTEAD!
Do you notice the difference between the bass songs on Scott Pilgrim and the songs you posted that they are on slap bass

Obviously there are exceptions to the rules but every single bass solo on Scott Pilgrim were sloppy, boring and could be written by amateurs. However they would have sounded far better on a guitar

Also stop writing in block caps it's embarrassing

Just ask yourself this, how many classic rock songs have a guitar solo in. Then ask how many classic rock songs have bass solos

You're totally missing the point.

The point being that you apparently seem to believe that the movie would somehow be far improved with a 30 second guitar battle than a 30 second bass one. Firstly, by arguing that guitar is just better at being played solo (which is wrong). Then now, by arguing that it was played sloppily and by amateurs (which was kinda the point in Scott's case at least, obviously being missed on some people), and either way, is it really that important?

Yeah I honestly do think it would have been a hell of a lot better. As a musician I find music to be very important in films
Yes I am arguing that a guitar is better played solo. By no means bass an unimportant instrument and it can be played by solo
All the music was sloppy, all music I remember from that film was noise.

Jokes weren't that funny
Michael Ceara can't act
Pathetic whiny teenagers everywhere
lame video game references
based on a terrible comic

So yeah, I really didn't like that film

How is the comic terrible?

I find less gritty comics to be boring at the best of times
I dislike the drawing
I find the video game references gimmicky and stupid

It wasn't terrible but it just wasn't that good

Am I the only one who found Roxy Richter really freaking attractive?

To seem like less of an ass then you should have just said, "This comic isn't in my taste." or "I don't really like comics like Scott Pilgrim."

Opinions are crazy things, but just saying something is downright terrible is a bit much.

I think making her straight would be harder than making her non-fictional.

Hey, in a world where I can date fictional half-ninjas, anything is possible.

Oh really you don't think I know this?

Of course I know this, nearly everything everyone says is opinion doesn't mean I need to go round saying "well this is my opinion" all the time otherwise I would sound like an idiot
If you can't work out that it is my opinion and you want me to go saying "well it's my opinion" then you don't deserve to hear anyone's opinion

Also if want to say something is downright terrible I will, no rule to stop me

Well, if the opportunity ever arose, good luck sir.

I know whatever you said was an opinion, I am just saying that maybe you should tone it down for those who actually like Scott Pilgrim because it makes you sound less ignorant. That's all I am saying.

Going into a thread about something that you know you don't already like, saying it's terrible, without giving a reason without being asked comes off as assholish to me is all.

If there was a Halo thread and I came in and said, "Gee, Halo sucks salty black balls, why don't you play something else." instead of coming in and just saying, "Halo isn't really my cup of tea, but I do like, -insert other game here-" I would expect someone to be mad at me and would think that they'd call me an ignorant ass as well.

So what? It's my decision to sound as 'ignorant' as I want, it's none of your concern
What did you want? My opinion, I gave my opinion, you said I need to explain it, then say my opinion in he right way.

You don't say this to people who agree with you.

This is is just painful. I didn't like it that much, how much justification do you want? I think the problem here is that I disagree with something you don't like and you can't accept that

No, I just don't like it when people are pointlessly rude.

You have to get the last word in this
Look I stated my opinion, explained it and then explained it even further
You don't like my opinion just deal with it, I'm not being rude just honest
