Nope, brand new with the console. It has to be internal.danpascooch said:Do you use the same power brick? I am telling you, they CAN cause RROD'sAdzma said:No, not at all. That's why this is so sad.Gunblade7303 said:3rd one?! do you treat your xboxs like crap or somthing? no offence or anything.

I'd just send it in... I sent my elite in, and am waiting for it to get back as we speak... I have another one I got for free (Cousin, not a website lol) though...Adzma said:And yet people still call it better than the PS3. Anyway, rivalries aside I have a slight problem in the matter. A couple of days ago my Xbox began freezing randomly, so like a good little boy I began to google the problem to find clues. Turns out it's either:
(a) A problem with the hard drive, which it isn't...
or
(b) The RROD... but my console isn't displaying the dreaded light of shame.
So now I'm faced with a problem, it's out of warranty by a few months, (up yours Microsoft on that one) but I have a friend who recently got the RROD for the third time as well and Microsoft replaced it for him free of charge despite his also being out of warranty. I've heard that wrapping the Xbox in towles and leaving it on can temporaily fix the RROD, but does it cause it as well? And if so, would it leave any trace for Microsoft that it had been forced?
Before anyone tries to raise the point that it is dishonest I would like to counter that by saying that the problem IS the RROD, but as many know Microsoft made it more difficult for the problem to trigger in order to save the money they were losing. Plus they deserve it for making such terrible hardware, and this is the third Xbox I've bought. I don't intend on buying another.

Nope. The only games that run properly are Halo 1 and 2.Gunblade7303 said:go kick whoever sold you these things in the neck! im on my 2en right now, but quick question, do you use the backwords capat crap?Adzma said:No, not at all. You don't hear about Wii hardware problems here because no serious gamer plays them enough for those sort of problems to manifest.Mookie_Magnus said:Honestly, I'm just waiting for someone to show up with a malfunctioning Wii hardware thread.
Or the hardware is just developed enough, I played Prime 3 for a twelve hour stint with no hiccups. My gamecube froze on occasion after years of use but sides that no problems.slykiwi said:You don't hear about Wii hardware problems here because no serious gamer plays them enough for those sort of problems to manifest.Mookie_Magnus said:Honestly, I'm just waiting for someone to show up with a malfunctioning Wii hardware thread.
My brother's PS3 broke within 2 months of him buying it. My 360 has been going strong for nearly 2 years =Pdemoman_chaos said:Here is a tip, sell it while it still works. Sell it, your controllers, and all your games nad add-on junk. Then buy a PS3 and not have to worry about it breaking.
There are a few videos on various sites that show people forcing RROD by making a cover out of paper and leaving it on for 15 minutes it then RROD'sAdzma said:And yet people still call it better than the PS3.
